The first part of that question is, do you think a simple opt-in page like you described (with no content other than a "hook" that FB might argue is deceptive) would result in the ad being disapproved and possibly the ad account at risk of being terminated? The second part of the question is do you think the FB ad itself would need to be toned down, or do you think it's safe to just repeat the hook? I know there are shady companies, I know there are shady sales people, but that’s in ANY business, not just MLMs/direct sales. As far as the pyramid structure? I can’t speak for other companies, but I can speak for mine and my experience in corporate America. In CA there are grunt workers who process, etc and then there are the team leaders, supervisors, managers…there are people who have jobs that don’t exactly fit into that system, they’re their own…pyramid structure within the main one, but that’s basically how it is, at least in my experience. With my MLM company, it’s basically the same: consultants, leaders, senior leader, directors. Each level has a job and each gets paid accordingly for their time and effort. If we choose to be a sales person and a recruiter (which to me is really offering the opportunity because you never know who might need it and I know MANY people who have needed it, it literally changed their lives and the lives of their families…for the better, of course) then we can work up to leading our own team (those we recruited) and be paid accordingly. Upper level leaders train and support their sales people and the leaders under them… there’s nothing shady about it. As someone else who commented suggested, I did my research and asked LOTS of questions because I WAS skeptical and I think everyone should.
Look, “Attention, for those who are serious about developing your online business to the next level.” Instead of that you might say, “For those who are serious about … ” if you're offering a supplement we might do something like this. “For those who are serious about losing 15 pounds in the next 30 days … ” and then the headline. “Discover what you need to know about shedding fat and getting a beach body without crash dieting.”
You need a way to communicate with the audience you are building. This can be with social media such as youtube, twitter, facebook etc... But the most effective way BY FAR is Email. I agree with you that much of the industry is flawed, but what about an MLM that has a service rather than a product such as electricity. It’s not like that could go out of style or that once you buy it you don’t need it again or that your monthly supply is too much and you’re going to stop the monthly subscriptions. I can honestly say that I cannot stand most MLM companies because regardless what you believe or how much you like the product, if you have to try to convince someone else to use it then inevitably the system is flawed and eventually your residuals will dry up. Electricity though, that’s different in my opinion, no one has to convince me to use it, it just comes by default. As you can probably imagine, this sort of thing is particularly frustrating if you’re selling an expensive product or service, but you can even see it happen with something as simple as deciding where to go for lunch. For example, if you’re hungry and in a hurry, you might pick the closest restaurant. But, if a friend asks where you’re going and says, “Oh, that’s where I got food poisoning last week”, there’s a good chance you’ll end up going somewhere else.
MLMs are also criticized for being unable to fulfill their promises for the majority of participants due to basic conflicts with Western cultural norms. Technically, I’m a rep for 3 companies, but only use one as my business (the others are because I love the products and want the discount). One does give a financial reward for recruiting and that makes me uncomfortable even though I understand that corporate recruiters also get paid for doing the same), they other has sales minimums and if I were to work the business, would probably have so drop a few hundred bucks into it. It would probably be worth it, but I don’t care for the mentality of the company executives or the sales minimums they impose the stay an active rep. You don’t need to only use Fiverr. There are plenty of sites where you can market your services. For example, you can use Upwork, if you’re looking for more serious clients. Or, Freelancer.com. You can always find work. You can even source jobs yourself by building a very simple funnel and running some ad traffic to it. It might be harder at the outset, but you’ll have less competition than you would on these marketplace websites.
A salesperson can build his commission rate by advancing in rank/steps and by recruiting new distributors. Consider the commission rate of 10 percent if you were on the third step. If you recruit three distributors who meet their goals and earn the commission of 6 percent, then you earn something called differential commission, which is the difference between your commission and the commission of your recruits (an extra 4 percent).
