I’m using CF now and have been in several MLM’s over the years and have always found the marketing model works so now I feel I have the experience to put this into helping lots of people I know, so my question is can you give me any more guidance and Can I use your post here to make it into a report I can use as a lead magnet? Following your information search — or, sometimes running concurrently with this process — you’ll start comparing the alternatives that your research has uncovered. Again, the time spent in this stage will vary based on the type of purchase being contemplated. Choosing a restaurant might be as simple as deciding, “Well, I feel like Chinese food, not Mexican, tonight.”
They were hot. These guys caught some shade for over-inflating their health products, but what health MLM doesn’t inflate their prices “a tiny bit” so they can dish out those juicy commissions? Well, their fiber product was 900% more than “leading alternatives” and their Trioten protein blend was 600% more expensive than Herbalife and Shaklee proteins. Ouch.
Revenue per customer or customer lifetime value: Typically, you won’t get the same amount of revenue for every customer that you acquire. Some of them might purchase at a discount, some others might purchase several products. If you offer a subscription plan, not all of your customers will stay subscribed for the same amount of time. A simple way to calculate this is to add up all your revenue for a specific period of time, and divide it by the number of paying customers you acquired during that period. The point here is that you should understand how much money, on average, you are making for every customer that you acquire. This will help you work backwards from a revenue goal and determine how many customers you need to hit your goals. I recommend that you only run this analysis periodically instead of keeping track of it every day because you will probably see a lot of variability. Teachable also collects all the data you need to calculate this value—just download a spreadsheet of all of your transactions from the Transactions tab. 

But still, it’s easier and less costly when compared to gaining new customers. In fact, it’s 7X more expensive to retain your existing customers than replacing ones that opt out of your digital marketing funnel.Once again, it all comes down to what you are giving to your customers to make them stay. How much value you deliver directly affects your retention rate. Remember, the more customers you retain, the more repeat sales you make.

Exits from stage. The exits from stage metric is very similar to your time in stage metric, but it allows you to see how many potential customers you are completely losing in a particular stage. For example, if your potential clients spend a year on your email list before they buy (but most of them do eventually buy), that’s a time in stage problem. If people spend 5 days on your email list before they buy, but 98% of them unsubscribe within 5 days, that’s an exits from stage problem.

Launches: If you already have an audience, then you should definitely consider going big to introduce your product to the public—that’s what launching is about. A launch can help you gain the initial traction your business needs to grow, but there is more to launching than just pushing your product live. Great launch strategies involve slowly warming up the communication with your audience and then sending them the right content that convinces them to purchase.

Remember that a conversion is simply one piece in a very large customer relationship-building and experience-generating puzzle. Funnel conversion rate is not the be-all-end-all of your marketing effort with that customer. Sometimes, the conversation after the conversion can make just as much of a difference in filling your funnel as chasing down every source of reliable traffic.
The exposure and awareness stage of the online marketing funnel is where the message you want to deliver to your consumer begins. It sets the tone of the visit to your website for your audience.  The goal of this messaging is to entice the potential customer to find out more. Often, a strong call-to-action can be successful in this channel; however, it is important that we do not lose human aspect in messaging. The conversation should start as realistic and natural as possible and continue to be throughout the entire marketing process.

The idea is to condition your users. Don’t push towards selling only your products, make it a point to create comfortability with users thus allowing a relationship to form. Make contents that are relevant, timely, and tends to help users. Or engage in creating games or mini games so your site or page could be deemed as not only informative but also engaging in a good way.


At this point, Norman has a great marketing campaign outlined. But in order for it to be truly effective, he needs to take things one step further by determining how leads will be qualified throughout the process. Adding in this extra element will allow him to better utilize his salespeople by bringing them into the sales process only when qualified prospective customers are identified.
Social media advertising is the most effective way to create a sales funnel. Various social media platforms can help you market and spread brand awareness to your potential target customers. The advertisements you release should be very appealing to your target audience so they are compelled to click on your advertisements that are linked and redirected to an email opt-in page.

You don’t have to be “the world’s best expert” on a given topic to offer consulting or coaching services. You just need to further along the path than those you’re trying to help or have experience with solving a very specific problem. You could offer to coach a small business owner can how they improve their social media presence, offer personal training sessions within your home, or offer up your career/work experience to help companies on a project-by-project basis.


It is possible you are newer to the online world and I hate to break it to you, but simply sending your link out to people and hoping they click and buy, just isn’t in the cards. People appreciate value, education, and knowledge. Often they require that before making purchases, or before looking at other opportunities to earn an income. For example, it is possible you came across this website via a major search engine because a title caught your eye? Or perhaps we are connected on social media? Or, you found your way here because of the variety of training and value this website brings for network marketers and business people alike.

The thing is that we are all the sum of our beliefs. If you don’t believe in something, and you look for enough evidence that it isn’t true, you’ll find it. Alternatively, if you believe wholeheartedly that you can make money online, you’ll find a way. Jim Rohn once said that “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”


The term “MLM company” isn’t exactly accurate because the company is not necessarily defined by the fact that it uses a multi-level marketing structure. Instead, a good MLM will be a product-centric company, meaning that it will be, for example, a cosmetics company that uses an MLM structure. Test the product of the company you are interested in; the product must be something that you would willingly advertise even if you weren't working for the company.

I recently joined a MLM and while I don’t think that they all are spawn of Satan, I am experiencing many of the same points you made firsthand, and definitely agree that MLM’s solely are not the best idea when you NEED a reliable income. What you’ve heard, or what you think you know about network marketing is false.
Your goals. It's possible to become rich in MLM if you choose a good company and do the work. However, most MLM owners are looking to make a little extra to pay off debt or stay home with the kids, a goal a good many reach. A part-time direct sales business can help you reach modest goals. And once you start building your business, and learn the ropes, you can build it bigger if you want.
Remarketing: This is a bit of an advanced paid advertising tactic and it has a learning curve. With remarketing, you target people who have visited your site and send ads to them on other platforms like Google or Facebook. Have you ever noticed that when you check out a shirt on Amazon, that shirt suddenly starts following you around the internet? That’s remarketing at work. With a solid remarketing strategy, you can even target visitors of specific pages on your site—like people who visited the sales page for product A and not product B—and send hyper-targeted ads.  

I highly recommend you at least have one funnel in place to generate customers in your business, whether it's a service or product-based business, because it will help keep your company safe. It will help keep you safe from the FTC coming in and saying, “Look, you just have a big down line full of people that only buy the product themselves. You don't have real customers. Thus you're not a real business.”
