To understand ClickFunnels, you have to understand what a sales funnel is. The funny thing is that Brunson almost called ClickFunnels, ClickFusion. Good thing he didn’t. Sounds really strange right about now. But, at the end of the day, ClickFunnels is a platform that helps you build out your sales funnel from start to finish. I’m talking about all the nuances of it. Down to every last detail.
If you’re not at all into selling your own products or services, you could simply promote ClickFunnels itself. If you have a list or you understand how to drive traffic to ads, then you could easily set this up and start making money online with ClickFunnels relatively quickly. While most people don’t like the headache of creating their own products and services, there’s something to say about getting the ball rolling and starting to earn some cash quickly.
If you're familiar with pay-per-click (PPC) ads then click funnels will be a breeze for you. You should have at least a bit of experience with PPC ads before you invest in ClickFunnels or a product similar to it, like Leadpages, but it's not a requirement. Plus, most of the people that thrive with Clickfunnels are of the figure-it-out-as-you-go mentality.
How's your reputation?  I'm not just talking about testimonials, client lists, and case studies.  I mean what happens when a would-be sale Googles you?  The Online Reputation Audit would have helped.  What happens when they check your social media - do they see thought leadership and a happy, engaged community?  Or are they met by crickets?  This element is hard to attribute, directly, but it's huge:  61% of consumers look for reviews before purchase.
How to get started: Gather a list of contacts from the groups mentioned above and email them to share the content you’ve created. Important: If your list is large and you plan on emailing them in bulk, you must give them an option to unsubscribe or stop receiving emails from you. An “unsubscribe” button is auto-generated on most email service providers.
The main sales pitch of MLM companies to their participants and prospective participants is not the MLM company's products or services. The products/services are largely peripheral to the MLM model. Rather, the true sales pitch and emphasis is on a confidence given to participants of potential financial independence through participation in the MLM, luring with phrases like "the lifestyle you deserve" or "independent distributor."[16] Erik German's memoir My Father's Dream documents the real life failures of German's father as he is lured into "get-rich-quick" schemes such as Amway.[17] The memoir illustrates the multi-level marketing sales principle known as "selling the dream".[18]
If you can’t drive traffic, you can’t really earn money whatsoever. Period. End of sentence. So you have to figure out where that traffic is going to come from because it’s the lifeblood of your business. Your potential to generate an income is going to be directly tied to your ability to get prospects to visit your landing pages, offers and sales funnels. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5VBazOUoHD0/maxresdefault.jpg
Sales agents in MLM companies frequently work for commissions on sales. In addition, MLM agents typically get commissions on the sales of their “downstream.” Sales agents are able to recruit new sales agents into their “downstream,” and those sales agents can recruit new agents as well. An MLM sales agent usually makes money from each sale in their “downstream,” creating a form of passive income.
A salesperson can build his commission rate by advancing in rank/steps and by recruiting new distributors. Consider the commission rate of 10 percent if you were on the third step. If you recruit three distributors who meet their goals and earn the commission of 6 percent, then you earn something called differential commission, which is the difference between your commission and the commission of your recruits (an extra 4 percent). This way, your commission is tied to the group’s commission as well, ensuring a group effort when recruiting and selling.

Most MLM opportunities tell you that you can work from home. However, you’ll soon learn you need to go out prospecting to get people to join your business. You may need to attend networking events, or even bring products to people’s home for a demonstration. You may have to do it on their own time, so there go your evenings and weekends. You may be working from your home, but you’re not working at your home.
For example, let’s say your business has a blog and social media accounts it uses to get on a potential customer’s radar. From there, you encourage people to download an eBook in exchange for their email and drop them into an email drip that promotes an upcoming webinar. At the webinar, you sell people on your product or service, which convinces them to submit a lead form, work with your sales team and ultimately make a purchase.

I believe the ones that don’t make it in the industry (if they chose a good one) don’t give it enough time (like you said they quit before a year is up) and commitment to doing what it takes to grow. I don’t spam FB and only 2 family members order product but I have at least 100+ home school moms making >$2000/mth. Some team members make more, some less. It’s what they put into it (business wise not monetary)
But say you’re evaluating marketing automation programs to help improve the sales funnel you’re creating. Because these programs can require investments of $1,500 a month, you’re likely to undergo a much more careful and thorough evaluation process. You might request free trials of the different systems you’re considering, have online demonstrations with each company’s representatives or view training videos to get a feel for how each system will perform. https://blogginganart.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Sales-Funnel.jpg
Eventually, you want to get to the point in your funnel where you are offering extremely high ticket offers. These are any services that sell for over $1,000, which may include coaching, masterminds, events, retreats, or done-for-you services like website development. However, if your whole business is based on these kinds of offers, you will be limited in how much you can scale up, because there are only so many hours in the day.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading your mlm breakdowns and the comments, thank you Jeremy. Had a successful mlm business but had to make a decision to give it up or have a breakdown due to ongoing upline bullying so at a big crossroads at the minute. being an ‘older’ lady here in the north of England doesn’t bode well for conventional job hunting in the current economic climate so some serious thinking needed on my part and QUICKLY lol. Thanks again Jeremy x https://changecreator.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/10-minute-funnels-vs-Clickfunnels.png
Hey Miles! I'm a total newbie when it comes to this and this article has been EXTREMELY helpful, so thank you! I am extremely grateful! I do have a question though and I'm hoping you have an answer and/or an alternative solution to this. I'm trying to use a custom domain name with my ClickFunnels account by integrating it via WordPress. I've installed the ClickFunnels plugin on my WordPress site and connected it with the API key and was able to set up the pages I wanted and the links I wanted to use for each step of my funnel, however; whenever I go to the links to test the sites it just redirects to a 404 page. I'm not sure what is going on and I can't find anything on the internet that suggests why this is happening. The weird thing is that I can get the Optin page to work if I set it as the Homepage in the ClickFunnels plugin but when you advance to the Thank You page it uses the bulky unattractive ClickFunnels link. Have you seen this before? If not, do you have a better way of using custom domain names with ClickFunnels?
Webinars are powerful because you have an active and engaged audience with you live. Sure, you could automate your webinars. But, when they’re live, that’s when they’re truly powerful. Russell Brunson always says that if you do a webinar every week for a year, you’ll be a millionaire by the end of it. Now, that doesn’t guarantee you anything. You might make no money at all. But does show how powerful this forum is for selling.

PR/Press: This tactic consists of getting media coverage for your content, brand, or business. Media outlets and publications have built large audiences over a long time—that’s what their entire business model is about—so if you can tap into that, it can mean a significant boost of traffic to your site. PR is all about having an interesting angle that is newsworthy and presenting it in the right way to journalists and reporters.
I do agree that my wording was a bit 'aggressive' in the video... With that said, I am still driving traffic from FB directly to landing pages that have ~15 words max on them, to this day! My ad copy and my landing page copy are super similar... And I get a high relevance score... I've had no problems at all. One thing I recommend is setting up a business.facebook.com account, then setting up as many ad accounts as you can (not adding any credit card to them, tho) to just have some extra accounts there... Just in case.

The basics of the modern digital marketing funnel include four key stages (similar to AIDA): attract, nurture, convert and delight. However, to accommodate the many different kinds of marketing projects required to compete in today’s fierce online marketing battleground, the funnel steps have expanded. Numbers vary, but these 10 steps often comprise well-oiled digital marketing funnels. The first six stages take place before and up to the point of sale. The last four occur after the point of sale. Here’s a brief overview: https://blog.meshagency.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/ClickFunnels-Alternative_Mesh-Blog-Post_Leadpages-2.jpg
The strategies used to gather information tend to vary based on the size and scope of the purchase. Recognizing that you’re hungry, for example, might result in a quick Yelp search for restaurants in your area. Deciding which provider to use to place a new in-ground pool at your home might involve calling around, reading company reviews online, visiting showrooms, and talking with salespeople.

Inside your Click Funnels dashboard you're going to find a couple things at the top. You're going to find a tab called funnels where you can browse your existing funnels. You can look at your contacts, look at your sales, and also check out the funnel marketplace, which allows you to buy preexisting funnels that other people like myself have built and possibly tested, not necessary, but possibly tested in their own campaigns.
With its anti-wrinkle cream and other products, Jeunesse promises to reverse the signs of aging, if temporarily. Jeunesse also sells products to reduce mental distraction, provide nutrition on the go, and help people lose weight. The company’s impressive live demos and message of remaining forever young have placed them on Inc.’s list of fastest-growing American companies.

Selling with Amazon fba business has some massive benefits as you get to have high conversion rates and traffic, but it’s not an easy job. Initially, you might not face any problems but maybe in future, you can come across obstacle like declining of your product, inability to generate profit from your product, insane competition or negative review of your products. In such circumstances, there’s little you can do for recovery. If you have experienced any of the above downfalls then sales funnel is the answer to all your e-commerce store problems.

Example: There are many Teachable instructors who do this on a regular basis to get more traffic to their sites. Especially those who maintain an offline side to their business. You can check out this super interesting discussion in our private instructor Facebook group, The Teachable Tribe, to learn more about how they are putting this into practice (if you are not a part of the group yet, you can just request to join to view the discussion.)     https://winningwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/ClickFunnels-Split-Test.png
This article was really informative and honest! I’m not presently involved in an MLM and I don’t ever plan to be especially after reading this article and the comments below. Why? Well because of EXACTLY the kind of “networking” and “recruiting” that these companies and many of the people commenting on here are advocating. I have been bombarded on my facebook, and other social media from people I haven’t spoken to or seen in years. Its becoming constant, and I am not on social media to make money. Roden and Fields, shakeology, some girl I went to high school with is now trying to get me to buy leggins from her. I have a cousin that I actively avoid now because he is constantly steering every single conversation to Herbellife and why I NEED it to be healthy. Jesus. Its just enough already. I’m all for empowering people, and I love the idea of earning an additional income to take care of your family or yourself. But I could not imagine alienating or even just annoying friends and family in order to make an extra dollar. What I dislike most is that many of those that are recruiting make it seem as if they recruiting you simply because they want to “help” you or provide you with an opportunity. They make it seem as if they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, when really the actual motivation is line their own pockets with more money, because the more people you recruit for your team, the more money you make. That feels dishonest and slimy to me. Unless I’m asking for “help” or an “opportunity” I wish people would assume that I don’t need and am not interested in one!
The answer, is mostly guidance. Whether that comes in the form of mentorship, software, education, or start up materials, most of us need to have something that helps us build out what we are envisioning. While we can’t help you with the actual idea or the materials required, we have the software and the training for you. We’re doing the intellectual heavy lifting with your growth and development. https://blogv2new.clickfunnels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/clickfunnels-sms-1024x485.png
Hello Miles, thank you for the valuable information. I want to get started as an affiliate marketer but I am afraid to use my real name. I have a PhD in Public Health from a reputable university and this stops me from marketing products because I am afraid I may be judged for marketing products that may not be based on scientific evidence. I want to have the freedom to sell all products. How do I get over this block? Can I still build a list without using myself as the brand? How do I succeed if I am working behind the scenes? What name do I use? A fake name or use a company name? Thank you!
If you can’t drive traffic, you can’t really earn money whatsoever. Period. End of sentence. If your new customers are greeted by a thoughtful onboarding process, personal attention, and all the resources they need to use your product successfully, they’re more likely to confirm to themselves that they made the right choice. And when they’re confident, they’re more likely to pass on their satisfaction to others in the form of recommendations and product endorsements. If, on the other hand, your new customers experience disappointment after their purchase, they’re more likely to request refunds, write negative reviews, and recommend that others in their social circles purchase from your competitors.
I premise this article with all of that because I’m kind of giving you a disclaimer. Every week, dozens of people write to me and tell me that they’re trying to figure out a good way to make some side income on the internet but they just don’t know how. They’re stuck in neutral. They don’t know where to go or what to do. Now, if you’re just starting out, I get it. You might not want to be that rah-rah cheerleader jumping up and down promoting your offer. But sometimes, that’s what it takes.
A sales funnel uses a series of ordered web pages that guides a new customer into a buying decision. You target a group of people to a specific product that would benefit them. Some funnels are only two pages and some can be much longer. I use funnels but still rely on a team of sales professionals to close deals over the phone. That’s where Russell and I are different.
Here’s a brief overview:

At least in the real world the customer can see the product and the person selling it to them in person. It’s not enough for a customer to purchase a digital product just because you think you are stellar. They have to know the reasons why and ultimately believe in your product before they make the purchase. Plus, there is almost an expected sense of targeting that customers are now accustomed to, and the sales funnel is one of them.
I’m from the uk. I am a Matron in a GP practice and have been approached by Arbonne. Ur video confirms most of my thoughts although doing aesthetics as a side line I though I might be able to run along side that and so not have to approach family n friends as that is horrendous!!! – i am really interested in ur local league marketing though – how would I find out more about this
Their homepage has an interesting graphic. It’s the first step of the sales funnel. A branding line similar to Mint.com’s, MailChimp’s slogan Being yourself makes all the difference really has nothing to do with the tool. That might be a good thing. It’s aspirational marketing not unlike Grasshopper above. It’s about identity, freedom, and self-expression — ideas that are bigger than a product.
Unlike other distribution methods MLM/NM companies don't advertise their products on TV or other mass media but rather depend on their customers to share the experience and recommend the products to their friends and relatives through word of mouth. They in return get 10-12 % profit of the sale value. Word of mouth/ recommending someone is a very powerful marketing tool which is cheaper and could reach more people because the selling of product is based on trust. Would you not buy a product your close friend uses and finds beneficial and asks you to try ?
Once you have each asset labeled with a stage in the buyer’s journey, start adding platforms and strategies for which that asset would be good a good fit. For example, blogs and infographics work great on social media, while case studies should be left to email marketing and PPC ads. From there, you can create your actual content distribution calendar: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/95/d4/58/95d4588e99e3f1b576b523a197ddb2f0.jpg
Hey Erica, I’m a doterra gal also. Just over 3 years ago I just wanted to see if these hippie oils really worked from there I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and I share with whomever will listen. I recently read this in the leadership magazine and I love it. “An oil for every household, a drop to change a life”. That is my goal. I never plan to get rich off my sharing but if I can change a life, help someone along the way it will be worth my time. https://goto.clickfunnels.com/hosted/images/4b/0738c07e2e11e88c5981a65b977d0e/clickfunnels-right3.png
Sometimes, when you’re stumped about why your sales funnel isn’t converting the optimal amount of customers, it helps to look at examples. I know how frustrating it can seem to launch an online business and watch your spirits fizzle and you struggle to earn money. I also know how it feels to listen to all the naysayers casting their doubt. But the truth is that anyone can succeed as long as they stay persistent. Remember, this isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. You simply can’t expect overnight results in your search for the perfect money funnel. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/ClickFunnels-Review-2018_-My-Personal-Journey-With-Sales-Funnels-1.png
Anyone who’s serious about creating a real income on the internet (whether active or passive) can do it. But there’s something important you have to realize about succeeding in an endeavor so many are clamoring to get a grasp on. Three things currently separate you from making the amount of money you dream of or potentially replacing your full-time income with the ability to generate that same amount (if not more) on the internet.
Our company recently helped a partner of ours find a global master distributor. They're in the works right now of placing that master distributor in this company. I can't give you names and details and whatnot, but that would be the idea. This master distributor, potential master distributor has been in the market for well over a year looking for the right place to plant their flag. They're out there. They're out there. There's plenty of them out there, plenty of examples of that.
Remarketing: This is a bit of an advanced paid advertising tactic and it has a learning curve. With remarketing, you target people who have visited your site and send ads to them on other platforms like Google or Facebook. Have you ever noticed that when you check out a shirt on Amazon, that shirt suddenly starts following you around the internet? That’s remarketing at work. With a solid remarketing strategy, you can even target visitors of specific pages on your site—like people who visited the sales page for product A and not product B—and send hyper-targeted ads.

I enjoyed this post and spent too many hours reading all your other posts and watching your videos. You have some excellent real life experiences to share and glad I found this blog. My wife and I are with It Works Global (She started it and I came on board later). I was curious why they didn’t make your list? Do you think blogging would work with this type MLM? I have only had success using Instagram and Facebook. The MLM model is not something I like but it is what is I guess. My wife joined to get a discount on wraps and now this insane looking chart pays the bills. I want to take it further just keep searching for a good way to do so. Maybe blogging is the answer? Thank you. for your time. Mike https://www.onlinedimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/rsz_screenshot_at_oct_06_16-36-05-1.png

Customers will move on to Stage 5 when the sale is complete. Although we won’t detail it here, Norman should brainstorm the kinds of information these customers will need, as well as how he’ll provide it as part of a cohesive onboarding process. Though he doesn’t need to worry about customers finding him at this stage or moving on to the next one, it’s still important to meet their needs so that they walk away feeling good about their purchase decisions! https://mk0sprout24comgnv2te.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/leadpages-conversion-rates.png

The thing is that we are all the sum of our beliefs. If you don’t believe in something, and you look for enough evidence that it isn’t true, you’ll find it. Alternatively, if you believe wholeheartedly that you can make money online, you’ll find a way. Jim Rohn once said that “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
Miles, Great tutorial!! I absolutely need to change my mindset. Question: If I wanted to promote an offer, would it be ok to use a contest or giveaway, then add the affiliate link to the thank you page after they have given their email address? like " thanks so much for entering the contest, BTW, do you have a XXX issue? if so check out the button below.
You can offer an e-book or a video series and an audio series for example on how to find prospects online, on YouTube, on Facebook, on Twitter, on LinkedIn, on Craigslist, whatever it might be, or how to find prospects or leads in the cold market without going to people you know, without hassling friends and family, without all those pain points that common network marketers struggle with.

If you can’t drive traffic, you can’t really earn money whatsoever. Period. End of sentence. Not only can you charge a flat fee, but you can even charge a small percentage of the take. It all depends on your experience and how savvy you are at building funnels. If you’re not already a ClickFunnels Certified Partner, get your certification and get the accolades and acknowledgment you need for breathing assurances into just about any potential client you’ve got the so-called skills to pay the builds.
Sometimes, when you’re stumped about why your sales funnel isn’t converting the optimal amount of customers, it helps to look at examples. The company. Too many people get lured by the hype, without stopping to consider the company or its product/service. What does the company sell and can you get excited about it? What are the compensation plan, marketing system, and policies, and can you work with it? Is it a member of the DSA, and through your research, been found to be a legitimate company?
Your goals. It's possible to become rich in MLM if you choose a good company and do the work. However, most MLM owners are looking to make a little extra to pay off debt or stay home with the kids, a goal a good many reach. A part-time direct sales business can help you reach modest goals. And once you start building your business, and learn the ropes, you can build it bigger if you want.
To be clear, MLM is a viable home-based business opportunity. Anyone interested in selling a product to generate income has the ability to achieve success. With that said, it is crucial to research and investigate the company and products thoroughly to make sure that it's not a scam, and also, that it's a product and system you feel you can promote. There are many single-level marketing (selling products without a recruiting component) companies where the likelihood of generating income is much higher than typical MLM statistics.
But please do a little research before you blanket insult an entire industry or business model. I am a single mother with a 6 figure income because of MLM, nearly twice that when I’m actively working my business with both of the companies I represent, and while not everyone has the skill set to succeed in this business, the potential is certainly there, for those that do.
