You, not stats, dictate your success. Like most things in life, success or failure mostly relies on the individual. Certainly, the MLM industry has a vast sea of reps who don't make much money or who quit, but there are reps who are meeting their income goals and some (a small few) are rich. The same could be said about bloggers and most other entrepreneurial ventures.

Email open and click rates: Once you’ve captured a lead, the most common way to strengthen the relationship with your contacts is by using email marketing. Open and click rates represent the percentage of contacts that opened an email and clicked on a link in the email body. These metrics are great indicators of how relevant the content you are sharing is to your subscribers. Almost every email marketing service you can use will calculate these metrics for you.

Matt Ackerson founded AutoGrow (Petovera Inc.) in 2010 as a conversion-focused web design agency. The company has since worked one-on-one with over 500 customers and clients to create their sales funnels. Matt is a graduate of Cornell University. He and AutoGrow have been featured in Techcrunch, Forbes, Inc, Venture Beat, Mashable, and Popular Science among others. He and the team write in-depth articles on digital marketing, sales funnel design, and also offer an advanced funnel training course here on AutoGrow.co
I know a few people who have done really well with MLM, but like you mentioned, 99% of people fail. A lot of people don’t like them because of the pyramid structure, but in my opinion that’s not such a big deal. Most sales-oriented companies have a pyramid-like corporate structure with a few different levels of sales managers that all get commissions or bonuses based on their team’s performance. If it’s a typical employer – employee relationship the pyramid structure is usually ignored and no one has a problem with it. What I don’t like about MLM (as has already been mentioned) are the exaggerated promises, the huge failure rate, overpriced products, and forcing people into buying products to be a part of it.
Selling with Amazon fba business has some massive benefits as you get to have high conversion rates and traffic, but it’s not an easy job. Initially, you might not face any problems but maybe in future, you can come across obstacle like declining of your product, inability to generate profit from your product, insane competition or negative review of your products. In such circumstances, there’s little you can do for recovery. If you have experienced any of the above downfalls then sales funnel is the answer to all your e-commerce store problems.
I just started selling for one of the top 15 and I went in knowing that this was just supplemental cash and nothing that would support my family. I spend 15 minutes (mostly from my phone) a day on my business and am happy with what I’ve done thus far. If it covers groceries and some extras like clothes or shoes, I’m good. If I start to become even more successful, great. It’s my competitive nature to want to out rank others, so I find it to be more of a personal challenge than thinking I’m going to get rich and stay rich. I appreciate the article and the no BS attitude.
Private communities: This is a great way to establish a closer and continuous channel of communication between yourself/your company and your leads, as well as allowing them to interact with each other. You can create private communities to start conversations, gather feedback, or share updates and news. By starting a community, you are committing to being active and monitoring it regularly for the medium/long term, which can be very time consuming in future—so keep that in mind if you decide to go with this tactic.
You can hit on those pain points, and you can say, “Look, I don't know if this is you, but if you're open to looking at a profession where you can take your real estate skills and produce an income without a cap on your ceiling then leave your name and information, download this e-book or we'll give you this free audio series or this free video series or this free e-book on how to do exactly that and take your real estate skills, plug them in over here and make as much money as you want.” That would be a great offer for real estate agents who don't know anything about network marketing. You capture their info.

Apparently, he did everything he was asked, from buying monthly training products to attending conferences, which can get expensive. Today, those costs are greatly reduced. The Internet, online training, flat-rate long distance and/or cell phone service, and free and affordable online marketing have made building any business, including MLM, much more affordable.
MLMs are designed to make profit for the owners/shareholders of the company, and a few individual participants at the top levels of the MLM pyramid of participants. According to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), some MLM companies already constitute illegal pyramid schemes even by the narrower existing legislation, exploiting members of the organization.[21] There have been calls in various countries to broaden existing anti-pyramid scheme legislation to include MLMs, or to enact specific anti-MLM legislation to make all MLMs illegal in parallel to pyramid schemes, as has already been done in some jurisdictions.[citation needed]
If you recruit a distributor who advances to the final step and breaks away from your group, what happens to your commissions? Yes, your total group volume will take a hit, because you’ve lost one of your best recruits. However, most companies will provide you with a bonus commission, referred to as an override commission, for creating breakaway legs (or recruits that end up breaking away, forming their own group).

Sometimes, when you’re stumped about why your sales funnel isn’t converting the optimal amount of customers, it helps to look at examples. We’ve revisited more than 10 companies that have strong sales funnels to see what changes they’ve made over the years. We’ve also added several brand new sales funnel examples and we plan to add more in the future.

But, once you have enough experience to be eligible (and are likely itching for a promotion), they start marketing to you. It might be email marketing or an email list-based retargeting campaign, but these graduate programs do their level best to get back on your radar. It’s a long-term play, but it’s one that works incredibly well because the schools know exactly when their students are “ready to buy” again. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/noI9VaYU3VA/maxresdefault.jpg
You’d probably think I’d lost my marbles, and I don’t blame you. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, it was a common marketing strategy to send out mass advertisements via fax machine, similar to today’s mass-email marketing campaigns. They worked. They were a viable marketing strategy because everyone had a fax machine, and used it on a daily basis. Now? Millennials are stumped when it comes time to operate one and the majority of Gen-Z doesn’t even know what a fax machine is. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/ClickFunnelsPricing-table.png

I don’t know much about World Ventures, Greg. I do have some very respected friends in the business who build that business and I do trust them. In ANY network marketing business, it more often comes down to what the independent business owner is putting IN to their business. Are they following the plan religiously? There is no company out there that can legitimately promise a get-rich-quick plan. You have to assume MLM is a 4+ year build – and only then when you’re going full-out. Most people don’t have the stamina for that – but if they do or can learn it, people can make a lot of money in many different companies.
Other than that, great info, but I’d have to respectfully disagree with the logic behind not being a part of an MLM. It’s one business model. And whether you want to make it your full time job or just dabble, so long as you find a product and company you love, it can be a great way to diversify your income streams. $5000 a year (or $5) is more than most people make on their 401K, savings or any other conventional ways of investing. It’s an investment, and for those that chose to continue through the plateau, it results in residual income. Don’t like sales? Some of the companies are moving away from the door to door type sales models and putting a lot more emphasis on team building and adding value. And many companies are also discouraging distributors from spamming on social media- again- it comes down to the individual and their own business acumen. We can spend our lives blaming they systems or we can just own ourselves and be grateful for whatever we’ve learned from, and created out of each opportunity presented to us. It’s the choice of the individual at the end of the day but one thing I can say with certainty is that someone who blames MLM for their lack of success is lacking responsibility for themselves in other areas of their life too. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/_P8zKLtPE_s/maxresdefault.jpg
If you ask me, that seems like a more efficient, better use of your time. I recommend you create short (read: under 30 seconds) videos about your company, as well as how-tos and videos that answer consumer questions. Promote them on YouTube as well as social media sites, and don’t forget to put them on correlating landing pages and blogs on your site.

If you build a funnel inside Click Funnels, I would recommend making your first funnel a customer-based funnel, so build the funnel around your network marketing product, whatever that is, whether it's a health product, an essential oil. Maybe it's an air purifier, a water purification system. I don't know what it is, but pick a product inside your network marketing company and build the funnel around that.

By the way, this a one-time offer only, my staff will create a two-step sales funnel for you if you sign up for ClickFunnels through this article, using your graphics, your videos. We're not going to create a video for you. We're not going to create a graphic for you. We'll build the funnel for you inside ClickFunnels in your account if you decide to sign up.

The specifics of each stage of qualification aren’t particularly important. What is important is that you assign them in the first place! Not only will this help you to identify the content pieces that are leading to the most new prospects (as well as any additional pieces that should be created), it will ensure that you’re using your salespeople’s time effectively.
Our company recently helped a partner of ours find a global master distributor. They're in the works right now of placing that master distributor in this company. I can't give you names and details and whatnot, but that would be the idea. This master distributor, potential master distributor has been in the market for well over a year looking for the right place to plant their flag. They're out there. They're out there. There's plenty of them out there, plenty of examples of that.
Each company will have a different startup cost, which is a fee that new distributors must pay to begin distributing. Companies with high startup costs are more likely to be recruitment-centric MLMs. MLMs that focus on recruitment are generally called pyramid schemes, or schemes designed only to tie down new recruits instead of selling quality products to interested customers.
If you’re running an accounting business, at this stage, your customers would be evaluating different potential service providers. They might need resources like pricing guides (so they know what ballpark rates are), how to evaluate the landscape of accounting services (i.e. whether to hire a solo accountant, an agency, etc), or how to choose an accountant. https://www.onlinedimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/sharing-landing-pages.png
Your subscribers won't ALWAYS be on social media, or scrolling through their email inbox. But, they'll be near their phone, or on one of 100 Billion other sites reading blogs or articles, shopping, gaming, or surfing cool sites that they’re interested in. Use desktop and mobile messages that fly into their browsers (and onto their phones) and reach them no matter what they’re doing.
OK here is the difference Steve. If you quit any of these MLM companies for a whole year, Continue buying product but help no one set up a shopping account, even 2 years, will you continue to get paid by the company? So Steve, as a Director with Melaleuca you helped 8 people total set up a shopping account. There is no Direct or multilevel sales in that, and if they shop you earn commission on their shopping. You will not know what they shop for and thats ok cause its private. Melaleuca is a Consumer direct Manufacturer that sells to the public the products that THEY THEMSELVES make. So by your standards then …Proctor and Gamble is an MLM also. Oh and yes, I took over a year off of inviting people to see what Melaleuca was, and still received my residual check every single month. It is against company policy to sell Melaleuca products.

You can either go one or two routes. You can go after specific niches like real estate agents, nurses, teachers, and you can speak to those people specifically on whatever their pain points are with their job. Or you can go after existing network marketers that either may not be happy in their current company, because they're looking around. They've been in it for years and they haven't had success or maybe network markers that have been out of their company, and they're looking, they're just open, right?

The structure of MLMs is very similar to a pyramid scheme. This doesn’t mean that all MLMs are pyramid schemes, but some certainly are. Those interested in pursuing a career in multi-level marketing should do research before joining a particular MLM. Generally speaking, if the bulk of the money you stand to earn comes from recruitment rather than direct sales, it’s wise to be very cautious.

So, what’s the big deal with ClickFunnels? Well, it makes everything incredibly simple for people who have no previous experience in the development world. Whether you run gyms or sell books, or even if you’re a life coach or freelance graphic design artist, you’ll have the ability to drag and drop headlines, images, videos, and copy with just a few clicks. It truly is that easy. Anyone can use ClickFunnels and build something that can work for their company, service, or product in a revolutionary way.
This eco-friendly MLM is seriously committed: their headquarters are operated with wind power. They’re pretty future-facing in general, having implemented an innovative social marketing strategy amongst their reps. No one likes to be harassed on Facebook, but Modere’s social media plan is still 10 times more effective than holding home parties (kill me).
look if you go and search top MLM businesses, no matter what link you click on, the number one company is amway. Why everyone goes with different companies i don’t get it, check it out compare to mary kay. Here’s the thing though, I contract with amway, but my organization is worldwide. Mentorship organization. I feel which ever MLM business you choose, join a mentorship organization that is in that business. The reason why amway is number one is because of worldwide. it’s only 10% of everyone that is in amway, yet 90% of the 6 and 7 figure earners are part of worldwide…why? because they broken down the company and know exactly how to succeed and retire quicker than someone who tries amway on their own or joins another mentorship company. what’s the success rate? to those who do what others have done 100%. So at the end of the day, consider all of this. With amway and worldwide, it doesn’t matter how old you are, where you come from, ANYONE can do it. Mary Kay is a female company, good luck getting a bunch of single dudes to make it with that.
This Driving with John Chow episode will break down the four components (the lead magnet, tripwire, core product, and profit multiplier) of a proper sales funnel. The reason most new Internet marketers don’t make money online is because they are missing the last two components. Without them, they’ll be lucky to break even on their advertising money.

The idea behind adding value to your website is that people who become daily users are much more likely to also become clients. If you don't sell a product yourself, you can become an affiliate marketer and post affiliate ads on your website. If you do sell a product, a daily user will have a chance to see more of your offers/products and buy them.
First off, thank you so much for this insightful blog post, it's exactly what I needed. But, my software vendor's affiliate program has a funnel of their own, requiring the prospect to sign up with their email address. Is it appropriate for me to collect the prospects email in the Opt-in page, and then expect the prospect to submit their email a second time in order to signup for the product free seven day trial? If appropriate, do you have any advice for how that should be structured? https://changecreator.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/clickfunnels-vs-website_-do-you-need-both.jpg
There are a number of different tools on the market today to help you track these and other metrics, though for most businesses Google Analytics represents the most comprehensive, easy-to-implement solution. Since it’s free, use the service’s funnel tracking tools until you determine that you need something more advanced and then move on to another sales analytics program or a complete marketing automation program.

I enjoyed this post and spent too many hours reading all your other posts and watching your videos. You have some excellent real life experiences to share and glad I found this blog. My wife and I are with It Works Global (She started it and I came on board later). I was curious why they didn’t make your list? Do you think blogging would work with this type MLM? I have only had success using Instagram and Facebook. The MLM model is not something I like but it is what is I guess. My wife joined to get a discount on wraps and now this insane looking chart pays the bills. I want to take it further just keep searching for a good way to do so. Maybe blogging is the answer? Thank you. for your time. Mike

Stephen, this was a fantastic article and full of great advice to help someone start out and make money network marketing. We need people like you to put out this helpful information for those that need it. I love Click Funnels. This site is the first one online that truly has everything that anyone needs to build an online business. Thanks again and I look forward to more great content. http://workathome-blog.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Know-more-about-the-clickfunnels-vs-leadpages-2.png
1) The cost to acquire new customers is rising. Before you could just send traffic to your website and make some money. Nowadays, it has become almost impossible unless you use sales funnels. What are sales funnels? It's simply a sequence of offers that you present to your customers. Basically, when you go to McDonald's, they ask you "Want some fries with that?" and "A dessert?". They make 8 times the profit with their "sales funnels". Would you like to make 8 times your profit? If you don't want to be out of business, you need sales funnels. What if I could show you the quickest and easiest way to build sales funnels without hiring a team and without coding? That brings us to point #2.
MLM restructures the traditional business model — manufacturer to retail shop to customer — such that sales agents working for the manufacturer sell directly to customers, bypassing the retail shop altogether. MLM companies can then convert customers into advocates for their products and possibly even sales agents. Because there is no retail store for the products they sell, MLM agents typically work from their homes, interacting with customers in the community or, more often, over the internet.

A few people do make big money from MLMs. And these people are often trotted out in promotional videos, celebrated at annual events, and very publicly ‘rewarded’ with prizes like prestigious cars (although these ‘prizes’ aren’t as generous as they first appear – you simply get a discount on the lease which you must take out in your own name, and if your sales fall, the discount ends…). You also need to promote the company on the car they ‘give’ you. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5b39-VT3qPQ/maxresdefault.jpg

Having gotten your advertising, lead generation and sales up and running, you must be aware that the work continues, it doesn’t stop there. There is something otherwise known as lead nurturing. Initiate a cordial relationship with your customers through lead nurturing by having a regular communication with them. Most times, email broadcast, SMS updates or phone calls are advisable.
Direct email: Direct email works great if you have a list of people interested in your business. For example, people who attended one of your in-person workshops, a list of current customers, or a group/community you are a part of or manage. Important: Notice how we specify that these should be people you previously had contact with. We don’t recommend that you purchase email lists to do direct emailing as that can have a number of negative consequences for you and your business.

Amazing article. One question I have is about how to avoid the risk of FB terminating an ad account for using it to drive traffic to this kind of landing page. The first part of that question is, do you think a simple opt-in page like you described (with no content other than a "hook" that FB might argue is deceptive) would result in the ad being disapproved and possibly the ad account at risk of being terminated? The second part of the question is do you think the FB ad itself would need to be toned down, or do you think it's safe to just repeat the hook? It seems like FB is getting more and more strict about this kind of thing. https://mk0sprout24comgnv2te.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/powtoon-webinar-registration-campaign.png

I know how frustrating it can seem to launch an online business and watch your spirits fizzle and you struggle to earn money. I also know how it feels to listen to all the naysayers casting their doubt. But the truth is that anyone can succeed as long as they stay persistent. Remember, this isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. You simply can’t expect overnight results in your search for the perfect money funnel.
Great job on the top 25 MLMs. Really like what you’re doing for the industry as a whole. Your analysis is spot on. However, a closer look at retention rates for each company might give you another perspective on the value proposition of any given company. As a Doterra Wellness Advocate we are told by our corporate execs that we have a 65% retention rate with customers repurchasing the product within 3 months. And that if we based it on the industry standard of 12 months our retention would go up to 85%. I’m told that this is unprecedented in network marketing. So I’m believing that Doterra is succeeding because its selling a product that works and that users and word-of-mouth drive the business in the long run.
Great listing and especially the honest look at what being in an MLM means. Direct sales is a hard business, especially if you’re not passionately using the product daily. You see too many people who join thinking it will be a get rich quick scheme and don’t actually care about the product or their customers. Genuine lasts and is successful, companies like Avon and Mary Kay have been around for generations because people love their products.
One quick word of caution, though. With every piece of content you create and every stage of your funnel, you’re generating data. Though all of it is useful to your sales process in some way, it’s easy to get bogged down in data and metrics tracking instead of focusing on the few key performance indicators (KPIs) that will actually give you the information needed to make meaningful improvements.

Remarketing: This is a bit of an advanced paid advertising tactic and it has a learning curve. With remarketing, you target people who have visited your site and send ads to them on other platforms like Google or Facebook. Have you ever noticed that when you check out a shirt on Amazon, that shirt suddenly starts following you around the internet? That’s remarketing at work. With a solid remarketing strategy, you can even target visitors of specific pages on your site—like people who visited the sales page for product A and not product B—and send hyper-targeted ads.

How to get started: Look through your most popular blog post, video, podcast episode and turn that content into a lead magnet. If you have several related pieces of content that perform really well, you can consider combining them into an ebook. If you don’t have content yet, think of a simple resource that your audience would value enough to give you their email address: worksheets, cheatsheets, and checklists are all easy to create and perform really well as lead magnets. Then, you can use a free tool like Canva to turn that content into a lead magnet. You can also grab the lead magnets templates included we created for you.

They have the stay-at-home-mother meets women entrepreneur mixture working for them. What does that even mean? Means they have the practicality side of the company that is off the product and they have the sales, entrepreneur people them promoting it, too. Anyone who follows MLM knows its usually too “product practical” (see: Tupperware, Cutco) or too “opportunity-centric” (see: Herbalife).
I premise this article with all of that because I’m kind of giving you a disclaimer. Every week, dozens of people write to me and tell me that they’re trying to figure out a good way to make some side income on the internet but they just don’t know how. They’re stuck in neutral. They don’t know where to go or what to do. Now, if you’re just starting out, I get it. You might not want to be that rah-rah cheerleader jumping up and down promoting your offer. But sometimes, that’s what it takes.
Hello Miles, thank you for the valuable information. I want to get started as an affiliate marketer but I am afraid to use my real name. I have a PhD in Public Health from a reputable university and this stops me from marketing products because I am afraid I may be judged for marketing products that may not be based on scientific evidence. I want to have the freedom to sell all products. How do I get over this block? Can I still build a list without using myself as the brand? How do I succeed if I am working behind the scenes? What name do I use? A fake name or use a company name? Thank you!
For different types of businesses, buyer needs at the problem/need recognition stage would be different. For example, if you’re running a consulting business, then at the very beginning, your clients would realize that they’re having certain problems around your service area – like a high cost per lead (if you’re in marketing), disorganized spending (if you’re in accounting), etc.

Unfortunately, not everyone who makes it through the first few stages of his funnel will be a good fit. As an example, a prospect might complete stages 1-3, but not have the financial resources available to complete the purchase. Or a lead might be enthusiastic about the product, but not the decision-maker in his or her organization. While the content pieces Norman has created will be helpful in educating all prospective customers and moving them through the different stages of the funnel, Norman needs to familiarize himself with and implement two concepts:
I know there are shady companies, I know there are shady sales people, but that’s in ANY business, not just MLMs/direct sales. As far as the pyramid structure? I can’t speak for other companies, but I can speak for mine and my experience in corporate America. In CA there are grunt workers who process, etc and then there are the team leaders, supervisors, managers…there are people who have jobs that don’t exactly fit into that system, they’re their own…pyramid structure within the main one, but that’s basically how it is, at least in my experience. With my MLM company, it’s basically the same: consultants, leaders, senior leader, directors. Each level has a job and each gets paid accordingly for their time and effort. If we choose to be a sales person and a recruiter (which to me is really offering the opportunity because you never know who might need it and I know MANY people who have needed it, it literally changed their lives and the lives of their families…for the better, of course) then we can work up to leading our own team (those we recruited) and be paid accordingly. Upper level leaders train and support their sales people and the leaders under them… there’s nothing shady about it. As someone else who commented suggested, I did my research and asked LOTS of questions because I WAS skeptical and I think everyone should.

The end result of the MLM business model is, therefore, one of a company (the MLM company) selling its products and services through a non-salaried workforce ("partners") working for the MLM company on a commission-only basis while the partners simultaneously constitute the overwhelming majority of the very consumers of the MLM company's products and services that they, as participants of the MLM, are selling to each other in the hope of one day themselves being at the top of the pyramid. This creates great profit for the MLM company's actual owners and shareholders.

Appreciate the hard work studying this… Im apart of the #1 company on there Advocare… have been for 7 years and one of the higher paid single guys in the nation… I just have to disagree with “over priced Products” comment. There is a mark up on every product in the world… Our products actually work which is why those endorsers you mentioned turn down high level incomes with other companies to endorse us for a stipend of products per month. Advocare has numerous people making a great profit and even more just enjoying a product they would pay double what they do for to feel the way they do. Success rate isnt low my friend… Its just the quit rate is through the roof. Highly recommend everyone seeing this and you sir to watch “Rise of the Entrepreneur” by Eric Worre on Itunes to get some serious facts about the MLM industry. Thanks for all the research and blessings!

Breaking into the world of travel bloggers, hotel hoppers, and digital nomads with #wanderlust was one of the best ideas MLM ever had. Everyone out there wants to work remotely nowadays, and a huge portion of those people want to do it so that they can travel. So, a remote income opportunity with a travel MLM just makes sense. WorldVentures is hitting this niche hard, having been named one of the Inc. 5000’s fastest growing companies twice in a row.
Many MLM companies do generate billions of dollars in annual revenue and hundreds of millions of dollars in annual profit. However, the profits of the MLM company are accrued at the detriment to the majority of the company's constituent workforce (the MLM participants). Only some of said profit is then significantly shared with individual participants at the top of the MLM distributorship pyramid. The earnings of those top few participants is emphasized and championed at company seminars and conferences, thus creating an illusion of how one can potentially become financially successful if they become a participants in the MLM. This is then advertised by the MLM company to recruit more distributors to participate in the MLM with a false anticipation of earning margins which are in reality merely theoretical and statistically improbable.[14]
Without those key facts, your marketing and sales funnel will be skewed. Excessive focus on one part of your funnel can cause problems elsewhere. If you focus only on owned media like follower numbers and email addresses, you may have trouble with conversions. Or, if you only focus on brand awareness and neglect email marketing, you’ll likely miss out on sales. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/ClickFunnels-ShareFunnel.jpg
The completion of an action on your website converts a visitor into a customer.  This may be a purchase on an ecommerce website, an application completion on a university website, or a ‘contact us’ form completion on a website like Risdall’s. The train does not stop here! At this point, it often feels as if the job is done, but it is not. Your company’s narrative should not end at conversions.  The messaging you provide during and post-conversion needs to convey your marketing communications plan – all the way down to the content on your receipts.
Once the pages are defined, it’s time to create a seamless user experience across all of them, to ensure a smoother marketing and sale process. So, users who saw the original home page would continue to see original versions of the pages across their time on the site and users who saw the variation would continue to see variation versions, or micro funnels. https://i1.wp.com/www.accuratereviews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/ClickFunnels_page_editing.jpg
I absolutely love your writing style. I’m a huge sales guy and I absolutely love seeing QUALITY CONTENT out there helping people to get from where they are to where they want to be! You guys are amazing. One thing I’m not teaching is right now is marketing and let me tell you it’s not very many places many people can locate quality content helping them with marketing specifically. Keep up the good work! https://blogv2new.clickfunnels.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/clickfunnels-page-editor-1024x493.png
You can do this all by caring. Reach out and ask for reviews. Engage with them on social media. Offer them an insider-only discount. Give them something for free on their birthday. Give them advice for free. There are literally hundreds of customer retention tactics out there—find the ones that best suit your products and business. One simple—and cost-effective—way to care is with personalization. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/ClickFunnels-Affiliate-Guide-Part-1_-Make-money-with-Share-Funnels.jpg

Multi-level marketing (simplified Chinese: 传销; traditional Chinese: 傳銷; pinyin: chuán xiāo) was first introduced to China by American, Taiwanese, and Japanese companies following the Chinese economic reform of 1978. This rise in multi-level marketing's popularity coincided with economic uncertainty and a new shift towards individual consumerism. Multi-level marketing was banned on the mainland by the government in 1998, citing social, economic, and taxation issues.[62] Further regulation "Prohibition of Chuanxiao" (where MLM is a type of Chuanxiao was enacted in 2005, clause 3 of Chapter 2 of the regulation states having downlines is illegal).[11] O'Regan wrote 'With this regulation China makes clear that while Direct Sales is permitted in the mainland, Multi-Level Marketing is not'.[10]
I enjoyed this post and spent too many hours reading all your other posts and watching your videos. Mike

Founded in 1980, Pampered Chef is a direct seller of high-quality kitchen tools. Pampered Chef’s independent consultants help guests try products and prepare and sample recipes. Plus, they learn quick and easy food preparation techniques and entertaining tips. The Pampered Chef’s product line of more than 300 items includes cookware, cutlery, cookbooks, stoneware, and pantry products.
I too was an MLM skeptic and additionally had no respect for the industry or those working in it. I stumbled across a company 6 years ago that had a product I LOVED (I didn’t know it was an MLM until after I was exposed to the product), I ended up joining for the discount. It was a low start up (under $100 with everything I needed for my biz and the products I got were worth about twice that), there are NO sales minimums or quotas, I don’t earn ANYTHING if someone signs under me unless I’m a team leader (which I am) and they two are earning (compensation from the company for my time spent as a TL, training and supporting, just like my team leader for at the old corporation I worked for)…we’re not required to have inventory, the only friends I sell to are people who were customers and then BECAME my friends, my hostesses earn a ton of free stuff for their hour of “work” (many of them are very thankful for the opportunity because they can’t otherwise afford the product which happens to be in the category of a “need” and not a want)…
Now that you’ve gotten your advertising, lead generation and sales up and running, you have to understand that your work does not stop there. There is also such as thing as lead nurturing. Develop a relationship with your customers through lead nurturing by communicating with them regularly. It can be through email broadcasts, SMS updates or through phone calls.
Although each MLM company dictates its own specific financial compensation plan for the payout of any earnings to their respective participants, the common feature that is found across all MLMs is that the compensation plans theoretically pay out to participants only from two potential revenue streams. The first is paid out from commissions of sales made by the participants directly to their own retail customers. The second is paid out from commissions based upon the sales made by other distributors below the participant who have recruited those other participants into the MLM; in the organizational hierarchy of MLMs, these participants are referred to as one's down line distributors.[5]

But, ClickFunnels gives you access to building the most powerful weapon in the marketer’s arsenal and that is the sales funnel. A sales funnel gives you the opportunity to not only sell a single product, but to sell additional products that align with the offer or offer upgrades that will increase the average cart value and the overall value that you’re offering your customers. By utilizing a sales funnel, you have the opportunity to make more than any static sales page or website. It will dramatically change how you operate with your business going forward if you manage it correctly and know what you’re doing. By studying material that Russell Brunson offers, you’ll have a chance to really hone and develop your skills.
I will give you an example of how important trust is in regards to making a sale with an internet business. How many of those annoying spam emails that have a headline like “Prada handbag sale – from $100”. I assume that, like me, you just delete them. I bet you don’t even open them. Why not, a Prada bag for $100 is incredible value! It’s for one reason only… it’s because you don’t trust them!
Teach them how and why they should bring that referral to you. What will the person doing the referring get? What will the referral themselves get? How exactly should they refer you?  Remember, you’re not the only one asking them for referrals, so taking the time to share what works best for you (and why it’s in their best interests) will help you stand out from the pack.
Example: Angela Fehr, who teaches watercolor classes on her Teachable school, offers a wide variety of courses like landscaping, fluid painting, and creative painting. Angela created a comprehensive bundle of her individual courses. It’s called called “Watercolor University” and it includes a total of twelve courses, which she sells for a premium price.
High-ticket coaching: If you sell any type of high-ticket coaching, you should setup a lead-to-application-to-phone-call funnel. This is simple to do. And it’s a great way to make money with ClickFunnels. High-ticket coaching can net you a lot of money if you know what you’re doing. However, traditionally, it’s hard to setup. Just like the e-commerce funnels would be without ClickFunnels. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/X9hby--KVBg/maxresdefault.jpg
Do you have any information on how to set up and link Landing Page, Thank you page, etc. in Thrive (For an Affiliate funnel) like you do with Clickfunnels? I have read and watched several times (above) but am not able to convert Clickfunnel understanding to Thrive. I have watched several tutorials in Thrive University and haven't yet seen how to do that. Any assistance is greatly appreciated; Thank you!

When it comes to selling your products or services, you need to keep in mind that not all customers will want or be able to buy an extremely high ticket offer, but you don't want to lose these people. Offering a downsize alternative is a great way to keep these people in your funnel as potential customers. You never know if and when they will want to buy from you in the future. http://gedlynk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/01-clickfunnels-ui-1024x507.png

As you can see, each color-coded piece of the funnel pictured above roughly corresponds to stages 2-4 in the buying process. The widest tier at the top of the funnel represents “awareness,” the point at which potential customers are beginning their information search. The second tier is “consideration,” roughly corresponding to the evaluation of alternatives described in the purchase process above. And finally, the third tier, “decision,” is self-explanatory. http://jonschumacher.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ClickFunnels-Review-7-1024x485.png
Thank you for this article, and for reigning in the bias. I recently joined a MLM and while I don’t think that they all are spawn of Satan, I am experiencing many of the same points you made firsthand, and definitely agree that MLM’s solely are not the best idea when you NEED a reliable income. I will definitely be returning for more articles here:)

Hey Erica, I’m a doterra gal also. Just over 3 years ago I just wanted to see if these hippie oils really worked from there I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and I share with whomever will listen. I recently read this in the leadership magazine and I love it. “An oil for every household, a drop to change a life”. That is my goal. I never plan to get rich off my sharing but if I can change a life, help someone along the way it will be worth my time. https://ads552vaou93hyfr12hxhki2-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/6-clickfunnels-templates.png

How to get started: If you want to do this at a conference, start by making sure that it’s ok with the organizers if you share content on your website with the people you are speaking to. Most of the times they will be ok with it and give you some pointers on what you can or can’t do, but for certain large conferences you might not be allowed to do this. To get people to visit your website, create content that is highly relevant to the topic of your talk and share it using a URL address that’s easy to write down or remember, as people will likely need to go back on their notes to visit your site.  https://blogv2new.clickfunnels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/image10.png

People generally tend to prefer either the unilevel or the binary compensation plans. But, the breakaway compensation plan also has benefits of its own. With the breakaway compensation plan, creating breakaway legs offers more of an opportunity to build passive income. Ultimately, which compensation plan is best is up to where you think your strengths will help you excel most.
Thank you!
If you’re not at all into selling your own products or services, you could simply promote ClickFunnels itself. If you have a list or you understand how to drive traffic to ads, then you could easily set this up and start making money online with ClickFunnels relatively quickly. While most people don’t like the headache of creating their own products and services, there’s something to say about getting the ball rolling and starting to earn some cash quickly.
I’m torn. I use Rodan+Fields but never considered being a distributor. Then a friend of mine introduced me to Jeunesse and got me fired up to be part of his team. I said “yes”. But now I’m wondering if the company is right for me because a) I read some negative stuff online about the company, the products, lawsuits, however the team is amazing! b) I actually really like what R+F has done for my skin therefore I feel I connect with the company more.
