Each facet builds upon its own functions, as well as the functions of other networks, to lead to your ultimate goal: sales.
You don’t need to only use Fiverr. There are plenty of sites where you can market your services. For example, you can use Upwork, if you’re looking for more serious clients. Or, Freelancer.com. You can always find work. You can even source jobs yourself by building a very simple funnel and running some ad traffic to it. For different types of businesses, buyer needs at the problem/need recognition stage would be different. For example, if you’re running a consulting business, then at the very beginning, your clients would realize that they’re having certain problems around your service area – like a high cost per lead (if you’re in marketing), disorganized spending (if you’re in accounting), etc.
At least in the real world the customer can see the product and the person selling it to them in person. It’s not enough for a customer to purchase a digital product just because you think you are stellar. They have to know the reasons why and ultimately believe in your product before they make the purchase. Plus, there is almost an expected sense of targeting that customers are now accustomed to, and the sales funnel is one of them.
The strategies used to gather information tend to vary based on the size and scope of the purchase. Recognizing that you’re hungry, for example, might result in a quick Yelp search for restaurants in your area. Deciding which provider to use to place a new in-ground pool at your home might involve calling around, reading company reviews online, visiting showrooms, and talking with salespeople.
