If you build a funnel inside Click Funnels, I would recommend making your first funnel a customer-based funnel, so build the funnel around your network marketing product, whatever that is, whether it's a health product, an essential oil. Maybe it's an air purifier, a water purification system. I don't know what it is, but pick a product inside your network marketing company and build the funnel around that.
Just follow the simple steps inside to create a new Crazy Little Funnel Machine that makes you $100-$300+ per day. You can scale this as big as you want, and because the income is passive, you’re not trading more of your precious time to make more money. Once you’ve created one, you would want to create a new one every day – it’s actually addictive!!
The truth is, this article would need to be 10,000 plus words in order to teach you everything. And although I'll get you part of the way there as you read on, I highly recommend picking up Russell Brunson's Expert Secrets FREE BOOK in order to get you 100% of the way there. It is honestly the most thorough explanation with details on how to position yourself online and build your MLM business using knowledge you already have.
You've probably heard horror stories about people ending up with a garage full of expensive water filters or other items. This happens because only other distributors will purchase the product at that price. Your product or service must fill a real need at a fair price, and there should be a large untapped market for it. In other words, it must provide tremendous value so that the customer is the biggest winner. https://www.stephenesketzis.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Screen-Shot-2017-03-23-at-11.24.51-am.png
You don’t need to only use Fiverr. There are plenty of sites where you can market your services. For example, you can use Upwork, if you’re looking for more serious clients. Or, Freelancer.com. You can always find work. You can even source jobs yourself by building a very simple funnel and running some ad traffic to it. It might be harder at the outset, but you’ll have less competition than you would on these marketplace websites. https://changecreator.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/null-29.png
Unfortunately, not everyone who makes it through the first few stages of his funnel will be a good fit. As an example, a prospect might complete stages 1-3, but not have the financial resources available to complete the purchase. Or a lead might be enthusiastic about the product, but not the decision-maker in his or her organization. While the content pieces Norman has created will be helpful in educating all prospective customers and moving them through the different stages of the funnel, Norman needs to familiarize himself with and implement two concepts:
But say you’re evaluating marketing automation programs to help improve the sales funnel you’re creating. Because these programs can require investments of $1,500 a month, you’re likely to undergo a much more careful and thorough evaluation process. You might request free trials of the different systems you’re considering, have online demonstrations with each company’s representatives or view training videos to get a feel for how each system will perform. https://blogginganart.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Sales-Funnel.jpg
It was not until August 23, 2005 that the State Council promulgated rules that dealt specifically with direct sale operation- Administration of Direct Sales (entered into effect on 1 December 2005) and the Regulations for the Prohibition of chuanxiao (entered into effect on 1 November 2005). When direct selling is allowed, it will only be permitted under the most stringent requirements, in order to ensure the operations are not pyramid schemes, MLM, or fly-by-night operations.
You don’t need to only use Fiverr. There are plenty of sites where you can market your services. For example, you can use Upwork, if you’re looking for more serious clients. Or, Freelancer.com. Track your clicks and metrics along the way! That’s the basics of a sales funnel, but of course, as most of you already know this is simplifying it quite a bit. There are a lot of variables within each of these steps that can either make you or break you. That’s why Russel Brunson has made it his life’s work to figure out — he really loves this stuff and shares his hard-fought trials and errors with all of us too.
Entry sources – Monitoring the sources from which people are entering your funnel can be useful data to track, as it gives you ideas for expanding the reach of your marketing campaigns. If, for example, you see that a large number of your prospects are coming from a single guest blog post you did, seeking out similar guest author positions can be an easy way to increase your overall sales.
Thank you for your article. I am also with doterra and I never in my life thought I would do something like this. The reason I started was because of health issues that led me to the oils. I have been an RN for 23 years and I feel more free and excited to share about health than ever. If you are going into something to get rich quick, I think that is the wrong attitude. I think most of my fellow doterra wellness advocates, have come to the same realization as me. I believe most of us started out trying to help ourselves and our families. I left my nursing job of 17 years in Feb, not because I am making enough money to replace my past income, but because I truly love helping others and I love the company and what it stands for. I can’t argue about MLM’s because I truly don’t care about that side of it. Maybe I am wrong to think that way. I hope that this ride doesn’t end anytime soon because the difference that doterra is making in my life, and the lives of those around me, is amazing. Thank you again for your information and your viewpoint.
Multi-level marketing (MLM), also called pyramid selling,[1][2] network marketing,[2][3] and referral marketing,[4] is a marketing strategy for the sale of products or services where the revenue of the MLM company is derived from a non-salaried workforce selling the company's products/services, while the earnings of the participants are derived from a pyramid-shaped or binary compensation commission system.
You see, there are lots of other people who need to sell the same products as you to make money too. And quite possibly living in the same area, with the same pool of potential customers as you. So if you have the misfortune to sign up to an MLM that’s already popular in your area or social circle, you’ll probably find it hard to recruit customers.
In March I joined an MLM company and I’m lost… my first reaction to network marketing was I’m not a sales person, to which I was told it’s not about sales but about building relationships. The other thing that makes me crazy is I see a lot of folks who appear so fake with their bubbly “everything is coming up roses and bubble gum” that I cringe. I’m honest to a fault and happy but not giddy. I feel like I have writers block in that I’m not sure what direction to take to get my business going, the struggle is real right now… Any thoughts or suggestions I can take away.
Without those key facts, your marketing and sales funnel will be skewed. Excessive focus on one part of your funnel can cause problems elsewhere. If you focus only on owned media like follower numbers and email addresses, you may have trouble with conversions. Or, if you only focus on brand awareness and neglect email marketing, you’ll likely miss out on sales. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/ClickFunnels-ShareFunnel.jpg
MLMs are also criticized for being unable to fulfill their promises for the majority of participants due to basic conflicts with Western cultural norms.[57] There are even claims that the success rate for breaking even or even making money are far worse than other types of businesses:[58] "The vast majority of MLMs are recruiting MLMs, in which participants must recruit aggressively to profit. Based on available data from the companies themselves, the loss rate for recruiting MLMs is approximately 99.9%; i.e., 99.9% of participants lose money after subtracting all expenses, including purchases from the company."[58] In part, this is because encouraging recruits to further "recruit people to compete with [them]"[4] leads to "market saturation."[22] It has also been claimed "(b)y its very nature, MLM is completely devoid of any scientific foundations."[59]
How can you afford to outspend your competition? Big companies have massive budgets that most people could never compete with. If you’re just starting out, you probably don’t have a million dollar monthly budget. His answer is direct response marketing using online sales funnels. The goal is to set up your funnel so that for every $1 you put, you get out $2. If you could do that, then the amount you can spend is unlimited. But what is a funnel?
When I say that ClickFunnels is revolutionary, I don’t mean that lightly. There is no company in the world that is quite like ClickFunnels. If you are starting with nothing or a part time job, or just a job that you don’t like and want to get out of eventually; ClickFunnels is the first step down a road that offers you the potential of financial freedom unlike any other company in the world. The great thing is that you will have the opportunity to start out wherever you are in your business to start making money that can change your life. https://winningwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Leadpages-404-Template.png
Before launching Omnilife and becoming a billionaire, Jorge Vergara sold street tacos in Mexico, smuggled Herbalife supplements into Mexico, and sweet talked the Mexican government into changing their regulations in the nutritional products sector. This guy could make a movie about his life and it would probably win an Academy Award (he’s actually a major film producer on the side, casual).
The answer, is mostly guidance. Whether that comes in the form of mentorship, software, education, or start up materials, most of us need to have something that helps us build out what we are envisioning. While we can’t help you with the actual idea or the materials required, we have the software and the training for you. We’re doing the intellectual heavy lifting with your growth and development. https://blogv2new.clickfunnels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/clickfunnels-sms-1024x485.png

This video might be a video that explains why network marketing is the perfect home business to get into, especially if page three, meaning your sales page or order page, is something that sells them a membership to your network marketing company or it sells them a position in your down line, like I just said, or maybe it sells them on info-product, in which case you just need this page, this bridge page here in the middle, to be congruent.
The reality is, only a tiny percentage of representatives actually realize the high earnings advertised in MLM promotional materials and at meetings. Some say the big earners got in early and are positioned at the top; however, like other MLM data, this is misleading. First, it suggests that getting in early is all you need to do to be successful, which of course is false. Success comes from work. Second, many companies have been around for over 30 years, and some of their top selling reps joined last year or five years ago.
Now, if you're just using a squeeze page simply where you're going to collect their email, it's best to give them something for free. It's also called a lead magnet. You can give them an e-book. You can give them a free mini video series or audio series, what ever's going to help you move that product. That's the simple customer version of an online MLM sales funnel (network marketing sales funnel).
Why does the message matter so much? Well, most of you already know that fancy designs or graphics or websites don’t work on their own these days. Today, it’s about the copy. It’s about creating sizzling headlines that help to catch the attention of potential customers or clients and using weird, have-to-do-a-double-take images to pique the interest of people who are used to scrolling and skipping around from page to page.
When I first wrote this article in 2011, I mentioned how the marketing copy for Crazy Egg’s heat-mapping feature could have been stronger by better explaining how the tool helps customers to increase conversions. While this information is clearer now thanks to the detailed visuals and simple copy layout that allows the reader to skim and scan — it could be better by explaining a bit more. https://changecreator.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/null-27.png

Traffic sources. As you’ve probably noticed throughout this article, different traffic sources work better for different stages in the marketing funnel. Sometimes, however, a traffic source can surprise you, so it is a good idea to track how many people are entering your marketing funnel from each source and stage so that you can give your top sources more budget and attention. https://blogv2new.clickfunnels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/image56.png

Of all the opportunities that you have in the world to start making money, build a business, or forge your own destiny, nowhere offers you the potential in diversity that ClickFunnels can provide you in one place. You have the power at your fingertips to enhance what you’re already doing through the use of ClickFunnels, develop future skills and ideas through training, or begin making a basic income to help fuel the fires that you have growing inside of you, all of these options are available with ClickFunnels and the numerous products and services provided by Russell Brunson and his team.
Hey Matt! Thanks for this article, it was super helpful! I tried to scroll through some of the comments, but figured I should just shoot you a message. There weren’t a ton of B2C examples in your list and was hoping you had some more up your sleeve. I just launched my company, Make It Hapin, and I’m living on a prayer haha. My finances are limited so my ability to pay for ads in order to test possible funnels is very limited but I’m trying. Make It Hapin is a personalized shopping service designed to help you recreate inspiration images you see on Pinterest and Instagram. The struggle is figuring out a way to get people to remember us while they’re swiping through their feeds. Anyway, I’ve included my website…I’d love it if you could take a look!
Thoroughly enjoyed reading your mlm breakdowns and the comments, thank you Jeremy. Had a successful mlm business but had to make a decision to give it up or have a breakdown due to ongoing upline bullying so at a big crossroads at the minute. being an ‘older’ lady here in the north of England doesn’t bode well for conventional job hunting in the current economic climate so some serious thinking needed on my part and QUICKLY lol. Thanks again Jeremy x http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/ClickFunnels-FunnelTypeChooser.jpg
A 2018 poll of 1,049 MLM sellers across various companies found that most sellers make less than the equivalent of 70 cents an hour. Nearly 20 percent of those polled never made a sale, and nearly 60 percent earned less than $500 in sales over the past five years.[42][43] Nearly 32 percent of those polled acquired credit card debt to finance their MLM involvement.[44]

Email open and click rates: Once you’ve captured a lead, the most common way to strengthen the relationship with your contacts is by using email marketing. Open and click rates represent the percentage of contacts that opened an email and clicked on a link in the email body. These metrics are great indicators of how relevant the content you are sharing is to your subscribers. Almost every email marketing service you can use will calculate these metrics for you.   https://blog.meshagency.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/ClickFunnels-Alternative_Mesh-Blog-Post_SamCart.jpg

You can offer an e-book or a video series and an audio series for example on how to find prospects online, on YouTube, on Facebook, on Twitter, on LinkedIn, on Craigslist, whatever it might be, or how to find prospects or leads in the cold market without going to people you know, without hassling friends and family, without all those pain points that common network marketers struggle with. http://jonschumacher.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ClickFunnels-Review-6-1024x558.png
Other than that, great info, but I’d have to respectfully disagree with the logic behind not being a part of an MLM. It’s one business model. And whether you want to make it your full time job or just dabble, so long as you find a product and company you love, it can be a great way to diversify your income streams. $5000 a year (or $5) is more than most people make on their 401K, savings or any other conventional ways of investing. It’s an investment, and for those that chose to continue through the plateau, it results in residual income. Don’t like sales? Some of the companies are moving away from the door to door type sales models and putting a lot more emphasis on team building and adding value. And many companies are also discouraging distributors from spamming on social media- again- it comes down to the individual and their own business acumen. We can spend our lives blaming they systems or we can just own ourselves and be grateful for whatever we’ve learned from, and created out of each opportunity presented to us. It’s the choice of the individual at the end of the day but one thing I can say with certainty is that someone who blames MLM for their lack of success is lacking responsibility for themselves in other areas of their life too. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Z-ywEnz7QcY/hqdefault.jpg
If you have some skills that you know could benefit others, why not do gigs on Fiverr? You can sell just about anything. From web development to data entry and beyond. However, you are directly exchanging your time for money. If you’re okay with that, it’s a great way to supplement your income with a so-called side hustle. You can do this while you’re still working your full-time job.
Launches: If you already have an audience, then you should definitely consider going big to introduce your product to the public—that’s what launching is about. A launch can help you gain the initial traction your business needs to grow, but there is more to launching than just pushing your product live. Great launch strategies involve slowly warming up the communication with your audience and then sending them the right content that convinces them to purchase.
A sales funnel is a marketing system that leads someone through a process with the end goal being a purchase. Sales funnels start with finding potential customers. This can be done a multitude of ways. You need to find these potential customers to feed through your sales funnel. Most people think the only way to do this is through advertising. And while that is the primary way, there are others such as Google searches, word of mouth, and referrals, just to name a few.

Each year, ClickFunnels offers its customers the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime event unlike any other in the industry. There’s a reason why so many people claim that it’s the best event that they have ever been to. When it comes to Funnel Hacking Live, Russell’s philosophy is that it needs to be like Christmas for Funnel Hackers. It’s about building up our community and offering them the best information that we have at the time. It’s all about giving each of our clients the most information and knowledge that we can in four days. https://howtoretireearly.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/how-to-create-landing-page-1024x297.jpg
Thanks Matt, yes that’s right. Regarding leads it’s both really! I certainly want to generate more of the right niche/ quality prospects. In short there are 2 distinctly areas; general enquiries which I have a good process for ( but could be improved) the biggest challenge is taking colder leads through the funnel. The sales process can sometimes be quite long, so whilst a well placed offer can work to get someone over line. It’s not very strong for those who are researching etc, hence I need advice about funnel building for regular front of mind contact plus education and industry authority. Does that make sense? Thanks Pete
The company. Too many people get lured by the hype, without stopping to consider the company or its product/service. What does the company sell and can you get excited about it? What are the compensation plan, marketing system, and policies, and can you work with it? Is it a member of the DSA, and through your research, been found to be a legitimate company?
OK here is the difference Steve. If you quit any of these MLM companies for a whole year, Continue buying product but help no one set up a shopping account, even 2 years, will you continue to get paid by the company? So Steve, as a Director with Melaleuca you helped 8 people total set up a shopping account. There is no Direct or multilevel sales in that, and if they shop you earn commission on their shopping. You will not know what they shop for and thats ok cause its private. Melaleuca is a Consumer direct Manufacturer that sells to the public the products that THEY THEMSELVES make. So by your standards then …Proctor and Gamble is an MLM also. Oh and yes, I took over a year off of inviting people to see what Melaleuca was, and still received my residual check every single month. It is against company policy to sell Melaleuca products.
Thanks for epic post. I actually purchased the Perfect Sales Funnel program many months ago, and shamefully have not yet worked through the program, which I am planning on doing this weekend coincidentally. My question is, has anything changed that I should be aware of in the last 6 or so months since I bought it? As we know on this online space, things change fast and furiously! Thank you 🙂

For messaging, layout, colors, page length, reduced navigation, and so forth.  There are lots of best practices, and a lot of the time, testing will surprise even the experts.  Google Experiments, within Google Analytics, provides deeper intelligence for this vs. paid tools like Unbounce and CrazyEgg.  Do consider screen session recordings using something like HotJar, however.
I just started selling for one of the top 15 and I went in knowing that this was just supplemental cash and nothing that would support my family. I spend 15 minutes (mostly from my phone) a day on my business and am happy with what I’ve done thus far. If it covers groceries and some extras like clothes or shoes, I’m good. If I start to become even more successful, great. It’s my competitive nature to want to out rank others, so I find it to be more of a personal challenge than thinking I’m going to get rich and stay rich. I appreciate the article and the no BS attitude. https://winningwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/ClickFunnels-Editor-Side-Panel.jpg
They have the stay-at-home-mother meets women entrepreneur mixture working for them. What does that even mean? Means they have the practicality side of the company that is off the product and they have the sales, entrepreneur people them promoting it, too. Anyone who follows MLM knows its usually too “product practical” (see: Tupperware, Cutco) or too “opportunity-centric” (see: Herbalife).
This article was really informative and honest! I’m not presently involved in an MLM and I don’t ever plan to be especially after reading this article and the comments below. Why? Well because of EXACTLY the kind of “networking” and “recruiting” that these companies and many of the people commenting on here are advocating. I have been bombarded on my facebook, and other social media from people I haven’t spoken to or seen in years. Its becoming constant, and I am not on social media to make money. Roden and Fields, shakeology, some girl I went to high school with is now trying to get me to buy leggins from her. I have a cousin that I actively avoid now because he is constantly steering every single conversation to Herbellife and why I NEED it to be healthy. Jesus. Its just enough already. I’m all for empowering people, and I love the idea of earning an additional income to take care of your family or yourself. But I could not imagine alienating or even just annoying friends and family in order to make an extra dollar. What I dislike most is that many of those that are recruiting make it seem as if they recruiting you simply because they want to “help” you or provide you with an opportunity. They make it seem as if they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, when really the actual motivation is line their own pockets with more money, because the more people you recruit for your team, the more money you make. That feels dishonest and slimy to me. Unless I’m asking for “help” or an “opportunity” I wish people would assume that I don’t need and am not interested in one!
Thanks for this post. Very helpful. I do like direct sales; one reason for this is that it helps keep alive that age-old tradition of people interacting face-to-face (rather than mainly through texting and social media). For that reason, I think MLMs should target the lonely Millennials. Anyway, I was a member/distributor of Advocare for over 10 years and still miss the products and the activities in the company, now that I am temporarily out. I still plan to sign up again when I can afford it (long story–I’ll spare you). I am now involved in Melaleuca, and I must say in their defense that Melaleuca’s products are actually not overpriced. Because Preferred Customers are not only not expected, but also NOT ALLOWED to turn around and sell the products at the retail price, everyone pays the same low prices. (Granted, one can indeed go to the website and buy directly from the company if they do not want to become a Preferred Customer. Why would someone do that when the annual membership is only $19? Only if they do not want to commit to the minimum monthly requirement for Preferred Customers.) Public, keep this in mind! Don’t be fooled by the rebels who are selling old Melaleuca products on Amazon for way above the retail price!! You’re much better off buying fresh products directly from the factory, even if you pay retail price. Just sayin. My big question: What about Tupperware? I have been a Tupperware consultant for about 6 months, and I have found it to be extremely difficult to keep business going. The directors training me have said that Tupperware is the second most widely recognized brand name in the world, second only to Coca-Cola. If that is the case, why is it so hard to find people willing to host Tupperware parties? Why does it seem so hard to sell? Also, is it just me…Or, does Tupperware’s compensation plan stink?
The only thing that is stopping you is yourself at this point. Your ambition and your drive are the only things that you personally have to worry about. So many entrepreneurs lack motivation and discipline to do what needs to be done regarding their business when they’re first starting out. It isn’t until desperation and necessity kick in that people are willing to do what is necessary. Start out strong with the kind of endurance and drive necessary for the road ahead and we’ll help you with education and software.
Without those key facts, your marketing and sales funnel will be skewed. Excessive focus on one part of your funnel can cause problems elsewhere. High-ticket coaching: If you sell any type of high-ticket coaching, you should setup a lead-to-application-to-phone-call funnel. This is simple to do. And it’s a great way to make money with ClickFunnels. High-ticket coaching can net you a lot of money if you know what you’re doing. However, traditionally, it’s hard to setup. Just like the e-commerce funnels would be without ClickFunnels. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/X9hby--KVBg/maxresdefault.jpg
I agree with you that much of the industry is flawed, but what about an MLM that has a service rather than a product such as electricity. It’s not like that could go out of style or that once you buy it you don’t need it again or that your monthly supply is too much and you’re going to stop the monthly subscriptions. I can honestly say that I cannot stand most MLM companies because regardless what you believe or how much you like the product, if you have to try to convince someone else to use it then inevitably the system is flawed and eventually your residuals will dry up. Electricity though, that’s different in my opinion, no one has to convince me to use it, it just comes by default. Find me an MLM that is not selling so much as showing someone an alternative to what they already have to pay and I’d be interested. https://www.onlinedimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/builder.png

A salesperson can build his commission rate by advancing in rank/steps and by recruiting new distributors. Consider the commission rate of 10 percent if you were on the third step. If you recruit three distributors who meet their goals and earn the commission of 6 percent, then you earn something called differential commission, which is the difference between your commission and the commission of your recruits (an extra 4 percent). This way, your commission is tied to the group’s commission as well, ensuring a group effort when recruiting and selling.
