A conversion funnel, or sales funnel, is the path that a prospect takes through your site that ultimately results in a conversion. Because the amount of traffic (visitors) your website gets will likely be larger, with prospects dropping off at various points in that path, those that do convert will be a smaller percentage of the original group – thus the funnel shape.
(May 2017 update: did this go under?) The sign up cost will make you do a triple take (almost four figures), but you get to set your own retail price on every product you sell. If you’ve got the skills to make people cough up the cash for their products (which, btw, are pretty legit), you could definitely make that money back. They’ve also been winning plenty of awards (even a growth award from the Direct Selling Association themselves).
You can either go one or two routes. You can go after specific niches like real estate agents, nurses, teachers, and you can speak to those people specifically on whatever their pain points are with their job. Or you can go after existing network marketers that either may not be happy in their current company, because they're looking around. They've been in it for years and they haven't had success or maybe network markers that have been out of their company, and they're looking, they're just open, right?

Private communities: This is a great way to establish a closer and continuous channel of communication between yourself/your company and your leads, as well as allowing them to interact with each other. You can create private communities to start conversations, gather feedback, or share updates and news. By starting a community, you are committing to being active and monitoring it regularly for the medium/long term, which can be very time consuming in future—so keep that in mind if you decide to go with this tactic.
This Driving with John Chow episode will break down the four components (the lead magnet, tripwire, core product, and profit multiplier) of a proper sales funnel. The reason most new Internet marketers don’t make money online is because they are missing the last two components. Without them, they’ll be lucky to break even on their advertising money.
A thank you page would be, “Hey, thank you for buying my health supplement. My name's Jason Lee. You're going to find incredible value, get great results in that supplement. Make sure when it arrives on your doorstep, you open it up, read the instructions, maybe hear some tips on what to do with it, and how to get the best use out of it. Stay tuned for more helpful tips in your inbox.”
But, once you have enough experience to be eligible (and are likely itching for a promotion), they start marketing to you. It might be email marketing or an email list-based retargeting campaign, but these graduate programs do their level best to get back on your radar. It’s a long-term play, but it’s one that works incredibly well because the schools know exactly when their students are “ready to buy” again. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/noI9VaYU3VA/maxresdefault.jpg
But, ClickFunnels gives you access to building the most powerful weapon in the marketer’s arsenal and that is the sales funnel. A sales funnel gives you the opportunity to not only sell a single product, but to sell additional products that align with the offer or offer upgrades that will increase the average cart value and the overall value that you’re offering your customers. By utilizing a sales funnel, you have the opportunity to make more than any static sales page or website. It will dramatically change how you operate with your business going forward if you manage it correctly and know what you’re doing. By studying material that Russell Brunson offers, you’ll have a chance to really hone and develop your skills. https://www.onlinedimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/landing-page-design.png
Entrepreneurs are a rare breed. There are countless people in the world who have a business, or a plan, or an idea that they want to implement and make into a reality. However, there are so few people that actually take their visions and make them into something that can actually be molded and shaped into a business or empire. After all, isn’t an empire what all of us are dreaming of? Businesses simply make you money and if you’re successful, money will eventual start to become cheap. It’s influence and change that we’re looking for, the power to have a community that can change the world in a better way. So what’s stopping all of these would-be entrepreneurs in the world?
At some point, a visitor becomes a potential customer when they consider whether the service or product offered is a match for their needs. This may happen during their first visit to your website or months later. We often get lost in conversions and forget about the number of returning visitors. Our content and its messaging should speak to consumers who may be on-the-fence or just doing research at the time and return later for their purchase. A single serving message that attempts to get the visitor to convert now is usually the case for the majority of websites content. We lose sight that not everyone will convert on the first visit. However, at this point in the online marketing funnel, we want to make our unique value proposition clear and provide information that the user needs to make the purchasing decision.
Reviews are the second golden ticket for middle of the funnel digital marketing—92 percent of online consumers read them, and 88 percent of them trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. Here’s one probable explanation why: consumers don’t trust advertising and marketing anymore, if they ever really did. Now, it’s no longer shut-your-eyes-and-hope-for-a-good-refund-policy—people can effectively shop based on others’ experiences (which is one reason customer service is so important).
Now, I’m not saying that if you can’t figure out how to make money online that you’re just looking for excuses. But, heck, yeah, I kind of am saying that. However, you can’t just expect to wake up one day, decide you want to earn some cash online, and then it magically appears for you. It doesn’t quite work that way. I’m not saying you have to fail or suffer hardships, but that’s generally the case as you learn the proverbial ropes.
One quick word of caution, though. With every piece of content you create and every stage of your funnel, you’re generating data. Though all of it is useful to your sales process in some way, it’s easy to get bogged down in data and metrics tracking instead of focusing on the few key performance indicators (KPIs) that will actually give you the information needed to make meaningful improvements.
The book that started it all, DotComSecrets has retained its popularity and power over the years because it is a book with limitless potential in awakening the readers to the possibilities before them. If you truly want to start making money online, then you must grab a copy of DotComSecrets and devour the information inside of it. It has made countless people decide to take the plunge and forge empires out of their lives and it has the potential to inspire you as well. http://smartbusinesstrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/DotComSecrets-BookCover.png
When you employ a good affiliate marketing management system, it allows you keep stalk of your sales, affiliates progress, payments due, payment made, etc. It’s highly recommend if you’re just launching a successful MLM business. Always ensure the management system you use permits you to merge with other tools that can also enhance the growth of your business.

I thought this article was fantastic. I currently work with an MLM and love it, but I definitely can see why MLM’s would have flaws. However, I also know for me it wasn’t about selling as much as it was SHARING. I have experienced more than a product, I have been able to share the gift of health and the gift of the business itself. I absolutely love it and people who join me in this mission are as passionate as well! I believe when we look at really loving people where they are and actually caring, success will come and not the other way around. That’s the only way I’ve been able to see it happen! Any who, thanks for the tips!

I was a hard NO to network marketing companies because my perception was all the things you listed – expensive to start, most people lose money, etc. I’m a former financial analyst however, and once my first daughter was a year old, I was at the breaking point with the corporate world too! Then I was introduced to the social marketing company I’m now a part of (and have been for 2.5 years now), and am happy to say that my income now matches that of my corporate job, WITH the perks of setting my own schedule, working from home, being present for my children, etc. So, perhaps the issue isn’t with the industry in general, but PLEASE do your research! A solid company should have easy to find compensation summaries so you can see what the average incomes and timelines to promote are, as well as low startup costs & no inventory requirements. Yes, it is work!! But it can also be a wonderful option if you’re willing to put in the time and effort.
Each year, ClickFunnels offers its customers the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime event unlike any other in the industry. There’s a reason why so many people claim that it’s the best event that they have ever been to. When it comes to Funnel Hacking Live, Russell’s philosophy is that it needs to be like Christmas for Funnel Hackers. It’s about building up our community and offering them the best information that we have at the time. It’s all about giving each of our clients the most information and knowledge that we can in four days. https://howtoretireearly.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/how-to-create-landing-page-1024x297.jpg
I have a friend who is proposing I join Arbonne? She would be good to work with although I am not educated on all the MLM companies and don’t want to make the wrong choice. I also have a blog which I want to leverage and it seems like most of the health and wellness MLMs utilize hosted parties. Are there any that are more internet based that have had a long time track record! Thanks and sorry for all the questions!
Webinars: With webinars, you have an engaged audience that’s akin to being in the same room with others while pitching whatever product or service you’re offering. This is a great way to sell high-ticket products and services as well. Sure, lead to application to phone call is great, but a webinar really sells like there is no tomorrow. Most people also like to combine the webinar with an application, pushing them to the app after the webinar is completed and closing the deal on a phone call.
MLM Legal: An MLM Lead Batching or Distributor Gathering program is often a more comprehensive system for driving potential recruits or customers to a particular company. It may be a stand-alone process or may be sponsored by a company. Typically, participants in the lead batching or distributor gathering program work the leads by advertising campaigns … Continue reading MLM Lead Co-op
Remarketing: We already covered remarketing in the middle of the funnel section of the post. In this stage of the funnel, you can use remarketing to target those leads who are really close to purchasing your product. For example, you could target people who visited your sales page but didn’t purchase the product, or maybe target those who downloaded one of your lead magnets to offer them a special discount.
Once the pages are defined, it’s time to create a seamless user experience across all of them, to ensure a smoother marketing and sale process. So, users who saw the original home page would continue to see original versions of the pages across their time on the site and users who saw the variation would continue to see variation versions, or micro funnels.
People generally tend to prefer either the unilevel or the binary compensation plans. But, the breakaway compensation plan also has benefits of its own. With the breakaway compensation plan, creating breakaway legs offers more of an opportunity to build passive income. Ultimately, which compensation plan is best is up to where you think your strengths will help you excel most. https://thrivethemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Thrive-themes-membership-vs-Clickfunnels.png

An online sales funnel promotes one of those two things and depending on how you build it will determine the type of leads and traffic you put into that funnel and how successful that funnel is. Your sales funnel and all the copywriting, all the text, all the images and everything else in that funnel needs to be congruent with the message that you're delivering and the offer that you're promoting.

Known for unprecedented levels of ambition, drive and client service, Kelly has fuelled AGM from the ground up and has taken it from a part-time start-up to one of the fastest rising stars among digital marketing firms in the UK. Currently, her team provides top-notch creativity, analytical thinking and data metrics for companies seeking next-level growth. Behind Kelly’s vibrant, friendly personality is a high-energy professional with deep familiarity in forecasting, budgeting and maintaining a results-driven path to success. Thinking outside the box, building innovative campaigns, and never losing focus are probably the most commonly-used descriptors you’ll hear when someone describes Kelly. Among her many core competencies, growth strategy development is by and large her biggest strength, as it encompasses a whole suite of skills that boost a client’s profile and revenue. These include around-the-clock competitor analysis, new media and technology strategies, monitoring target markets and keeping KPIs synchronized in order to stay a cut above the competition.
As you can see, each color-coded piece of the funnel pictured above roughly corresponds to stages 2-4 in the buying process. The widest tier at the top of the funnel represents “awareness,” the point at which potential customers are beginning their information search. The second tier is “consideration,” roughly corresponding to the evaluation of alternatives described in the purchase process above. And finally, the third tier, “decision,” is self-explanatory.

I think when you made comments about a company you should have kept them neutral or not only commented part of a story. Ambit did have a lawsuit, but it also has several JD Power awards, A+BBB, and many other accolades. I don’t know details of the suit, it may have been 100% justified, but I do know lawsuits are not always justified. Sometimes people are looking to make a buck
You don’t need to only use Fiverr. There are plenty of sites where you can market your services. For example, you can use Upwork, if you’re looking for more serious clients. Or, Freelancer.com. You can always find work. You can even source jobs yourself by building a very simple funnel and running some ad traffic to it. It might be harder at the outset, but you’ll have less competition than you would on these marketplace websites.

Conversion rate: This is a really important metric. While your revenue and number of customers will tell you how much money your funnel is generating, your bottom-of-the-funnel conversion rate is an indicator of how effective are your tactics at converting leads into customers. How you obtain and calculate this conversion rate will depend largely on the tactic you decide to use. For example, if you are doing a product launch with an email sequence, you might want to look at the percentage of subscribers who became customers during the launch. If you want to learn how many people who visit your sales page end up becoming customers, you can use Google Analytics goals to keep track of this metric.   https://i.ytimg.com/vi/YJkLVofBF_s/maxresdefault.jpg

Entry sources – Monitoring the sources from which people are entering your funnel can be useful data to track, as it gives you ideas for expanding the reach of your marketing campaigns. If, for example, you see that a large number of your prospects are coming from a single guest blog post you did, seeking out similar guest author positions can be an easy way to increase your overall sales.
This article was really informative and honest! I’m not presently involved in an MLM and I don’t ever plan to be especially after reading this article and the comments below. Why? Well because of EXACTLY the kind of “networking” and “recruiting” that these companies and many of the people commenting on here are advocating. I have been bombarded on my facebook, and other social media from people I haven’t spoken to or seen in years. Its becoming constant, and I am not on social media to make money. Roden and Fields, shakeology, some girl I went to high school with is now trying to get me to buy leggins from her. I have a cousin that I actively avoid now because he is constantly steering every single conversation to Herbellife and why I NEED it to be healthy. Jesus. Its just enough already. I’m all for empowering people, and I love the idea of earning an additional income to take care of your family or yourself. But I could not imagine alienating or even just annoying friends and family in order to make an extra dollar. What I dislike most is that many of those that are recruiting make it seem as if they recruiting you simply because they want to “help” you or provide you with an opportunity. They make it seem as if they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, when really the actual motivation is line their own pockets with more money, because the more people you recruit for your team, the more money you make. That feels dishonest and slimy to me. Unless I’m asking for “help” or an “opportunity” I wish people would assume that I don’t need and am not interested in one!
A few people do make big money from MLMs. And these people are often trotted out in promotional videos, celebrated at annual events, and very publicly ‘rewarded’ with prizes like prestigious cars (although these ‘prizes’ aren’t as generous as they first appear – you simply get a discount on the lease which you must take out in your own name, and if your sales fall, the discount ends…). You also need to promote the company on the car they ‘give’ you.

To understand ClickFunnels, you have to understand what a sales funnel is. The funny thing is that Brunson almost called ClickFunnels, ClickFusion. Good thing he didn’t. Sounds really strange right about now. But, at the end of the day, ClickFunnels is a platform that helps you build out your sales funnel from start to finish. I’m talking about all the nuances of it. Down to every last detail.
I don’t wish to simply make derogatory comments about your program so, I asked a bunch of questions. At first blush the program doesn’t make much sense to me. Hence, I attempted to clarify some points. ‘Til you do respond I don’t see any reason to look at it again. Given the data presented in the video, that was enough in order for me to decide not to participate. https://5q4t430vypa2hfnfg343rud1-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/clickfunnels-review-order-forms.png
I enjoyed this post and spent too many hours reading all your other posts and watching your videos. You have some excellent real life experiences to share and glad I found this blog. My wife and I are with It Works Global (She started it and I came on board later). I was curious why they didn’t make your list? Do you think blogging would work with this type MLM? I have only had success using Instagram and Facebook. The MLM model is not something I like but it is what is I guess. My wife joined to get a discount on wraps and now this insane looking chart pays the bills. I want to take it further just keep searching for a good way to do so. Maybe blogging is the answer? Thank you. for your time. Mike https://i.ytimg.com/vi/s4m5P5NR-4A/hqdefault.jpg

The Isreali immigrant brothers turned entrepreneurs behind Seacret Direct managed to take a cliche mall kiosk (you know, the ones that bother the crap out of you while you’re trying to shop) and turn it into a multi-million dollar global direct selling ccompany. Skincare products are pretty yawn-worthy nowadays, but Seacret’s dead sea products come with a 5,000 year history and a lot of fanfare.
A landing page is the first impression that a visitor gets when they visit your website. How do you want them to feel? Keep in mind that the end goal of a landing page is to convert visitors into leads or customers. However, in order to inspire people to want to sign up for your email list or subscribe to your website, you need to entice them and demonstrate the value that you can offer. This is why your landing page design and is so important.

comes down to leadership and the individual. I even changed teams to find the right mentor and coaching when I knew I was struggling. I found a team that trains people to be some network marketing professionals, and really the math is simple and anyone can make residual income if they do it correctly. The problem is people sign everyone up they can and then most drop out. You only want to work with those that are committed to do the work and be able to work closely with them until they are a developed leader. In all actuality ssigning everyone up as an associate is against the rules and a big no no. Having customers benefits everyone and in most business models like the one I’m with I make more commission off customers than associates that aren’t working.
You’d probably think I’d lost my marbles, and I don’t blame you. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, it was a common marketing strategy to send out mass advertisements via fax machine, similar to today’s mass-email marketing campaigns. They worked. They were a viable marketing strategy because everyone had a fax machine, and used it on a daily basis. Now? Millennials are stumped when it comes time to operate one and the majority of Gen-Z doesn’t even know what a fax machine is.
You need a way to communicate with the audience you are building. This can be with social media such as youtube, twitter, facebook etc... But the most effective way BY FAR is Email. I know email isn’t sexy, but it’s the most stable and profitable form of communication and you are in complete CONTROL of it and nothing is as personal as an email, right?
Exits from stage. The exits from stage metric is very similar to your time in stage metric, but it allows you to see how many potential customers you are completely losing in a particular stage. For example, if your potential clients spend a year on your email list before they buy (but most of them do eventually buy), that’s a time in stage problem. If people spend 5 days on your email list before they buy, but 98% of them unsubscribe within 5 days, that’s an exits from stage problem.
People who wonder why network marketing doesn’t work have likely also never joined the best MLM for them at the time or had great upline support and a team around them to get through the often frustrating first few months. Opportunities abound – even publicly traded multi-level marketing companies, who you would think are these huge businesses that give you no attention, have small teams and wonderful leaders to join. It’s just a matter of finding the top teams in the company you’re looking at. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/7pOXESV4H-w/maxresdefault.jpg

The Cookbook is one of Russell’s creations that really is the road map to the practical building of your sales funnels. Not only do you have the opportunity to figure out how to build your funnel, but any other funnel that you could possibly want to build. Use website links that have embedded web analytic codes. You can do this through your website provider or with a free Google Analytics account. Make sure each strategy uses a different link, so you can track your most successful lead gathering strategies. FLP may not be the wealthiest MLM on this list, but they deserve a spot because of their long-term dedication to the aloe vera plant and products made from it. Few MLMs display such product dedication and integrity as FLP. And few MLM’s have such a concentrated niche. That screams longevity over the other hundreds of other “full service wellness” companies. https://goto.clickfunnels.com/hosted/images/12/5c91f0813011e8a376fb65cd35413e/clickfunnels_home1.png

Sales funnel conversions – If you’re going to choose only a few metrics to focus on, make sure this is one of them. Essentially, this metric involves tracking the number of prospects that enter your funnel at any point and then convert into customers. As you make changes to your marketing strategy in the future, seeing this number improve will let you know you’re on the right track.

Unique Website Builder To Build A Webpage From Scratch: Don’t use templates if you don’t want. You can build your own landing page using Instapage’s flexible, freeform drag-and-drop builder. It lets you create pages from scratch by letting you put elements such as icons, buttons, text and more exactly where you want. If you want even more flexibility, Instapage lets you code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well.

I know a few people who have done really well with MLM, but like you mentioned, 99% of people fail. A lot of people don’t like them because of the pyramid structure, but in my opinion that’s not such a big deal. Most sales-oriented companies have a pyramid-like corporate structure with a few different levels of sales managers that all get commissions or bonuses based on their team’s performance. If it’s a typical employer – employee relationship the pyramid structure is usually ignored and no one has a problem with it. What I don’t like about MLM (as has already been mentioned) are the exaggerated promises, the huge failure rate, overpriced products, and forcing people into buying products to be a part of it.
