PPC ads are always a great addition to an online business, but a PPC ad with a landing page and webinar is better. Let's take that another step after the webinar and ad cross-selling to a purchase, then an additional upsell after the initial purchase. Then repeat the process over and over again, until the customer reaches the very top of the "staircase" you have created. Now, a customer that wanted to buy the shipping for a free book, just made a purchase for your $25,000 a year coaching program.
I know there are shady companies, I know there are shady sales people, but that’s in ANY business, not just MLMs/direct sales. As far as the pyramid structure? I can’t speak for other companies, but I can speak for mine and my experience in corporate America. In CA there are grunt workers who process, etc and then there are the team leaders, supervisors, managers…there are people who have jobs that don’t exactly fit into that system, they’re their own…pyramid structure within the main one, but that’s basically how it is, at least in my experience. With my MLM company, it’s basically the same: consultants, leaders, senior leader, directors. Each level has a job and each gets paid accordingly for their time and effort. If we choose to be a sales person and a recruiter (which to me is really offering the opportunity because you never know who might need it and I know MANY people who have needed it, it literally changed their lives and the lives of their families…for the better, of course) then we can work up to leading our own team (those we recruited) and be paid accordingly. Upper level leaders train and support their sales people and the leaders under them… there’s nothing shady about it. As someone else who commented suggested, I did my research and asked LOTS of questions because I WAS skeptical and I think everyone should.
Thank you for your article. I am also with doterra and I never in my life thought I would do something like this. The reason I started was because of health issues that led me to the oils. I have been an RN for 23 years and I feel more free and excited to share about health than ever. If you are going into something to get rich quick, I think that is the wrong attitude. I think most of my fellow doterra wellness advocates, have come to the same realization as me. I believe most of us started out trying to help ourselves and our families. I left my nursing job of 17 years in Feb, not because I am making enough money to replace my past income, but because I truly love helping others and I love the company and what it stands for. I can’t argue about MLM’s because I truly don’t care about that side of it. Maybe I am wrong to think that way. I hope that this ride doesn’t end anytime soon because the difference that doterra is making in my life, and the lives of those around me, is amazing. Thank you again for your information and your viewpoint.
If you’re running an accounting business, at this stage, your customers would be evaluating different potential service providers. They might need resources like pricing guides (so they know what ballpark rates are), how to evaluate the landscape of accounting services (i.e. whether to hire a solo accountant, an agency, etc), or how to choose an accountant.
doTERRA “wellness advocates” come from all backgrounds, countries and walks of life. Without question, they’re passionate about health and wellness and caring for people. A doTERRA wellness advocate is a person who is committed to sharing the life-enhancing benefits of therapeutic-grade essential oils with the world. They do this by sharing the world’s highest-quality essential oil products. Most noteworthy of all, these are products that have been developed by highly educated and experienced botanists, chemists, health scientists, and health-care professionals. https://effort4successdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/your-ready-clickfunnels-url.png
I highly recommend you at least have one funnel in place to generate customers in your business, whether it's a service or product-based business, because it will help keep your company safe. It will help keep you safe from the FTC coming in and saying, “Look, you just have a big down line full of people that only buy the product themselves. You don't have real customers. Thus you're not a real business.”
